Come on you freaks, let me know.
Only played Far Cry Primal and the Twilight Princess port in terms of single player games this year. Dark Souls III will take the crown in a couple weeks I'm sure.
What wins now though?

Grim Dawn.
Yeah, yeah, it's an action RPG with co-op, but it actually doesn't suck dirty diapers to play alone. It's an incredibly satisfying game to play. Every other ARPG is baby mode in comparison.
Good suggestions thanks, I never heard of Superhot and I adore Xcom and Fire Emblem so not sure how I missed they have new versions out!
I'm clearly not spending enough time on System Wars :P
Well, I've been missing yo ass not being on here :P
Fire Emblem doesn't launch in EU until May 20, btw, so you haven't missed out, you have time.
@charizard1605: Aw thanks :) Lovely that Nintendo are still F8cking us in Europe in 2016 XD No bitterness anymore, just think it's funny.
I've been playing nothing but single player games recently, catching up with gaming history. Lot's of PC strategy RTS and turn based and city builder games :)

You've probably already played these ones, since they're the go-to ones for most people trying out these genres, but lemme recommend my favorites anyway. I'll bold the ones on Steam/GoG/Origin, so you know those are easier to track down:
The funny part is, you've probably played all of them :P
@charizard1605:
Hahaha appreciate the suggestions but yes, played most :P
My love of Sim City goes back to the SNES, played all them since, and Civ back to 1996 when I got Civ 2 at the age of 6 and learned what Democracy was XD
Age Of Empires, War/Starcraft, Total War and Sins I've all played too, there's a couple you mentioned I'll add to the list though :D
Been alternating random action games between for breaks too, hence Far Cry Primal etc. Trying to keep the "grand project" of playing every game ever going haha.
How's the website and writing going? :)
@locopatho: Figured lol. Most of the games I mentioned are literally gateway drugs into the genre. Hopefully the ones you haven't played that I mentioned, you like :P
And pffft, man. I've given up, I concede defeat to my backlog. I'm never going to go through it all, ever.
The website and writing's coming along fine, I've been doing some pretty high profile editorials and interviews lately lol. It's an exciting time with VR, PS4K/XB1E, and the NX.
@charizard1605:
It actually helps to swear off entire genres and platforms. For example. Screw MMOs, I never like them and their treadmills. And screw every single console before NES/Master System, those games bore/annoy me.
Boom! Thousands of games eliminated :P
Interview anyone I've heard of? Apologies, I forget your site, wanna send it on? :)

Yeah, I interviewed Michael Pachter earlier this month, the developers of Hitman and Unravel last month, and the developers of Project CARS today.
I'll send you a link via PM!
(also, I can't stand any game predating SNES and Genesis, so I guess for me those ones naturally selects themselves out of the pool haha)
Fire Emblem Fates' Special Edition is the best investment I made this year. Conquest and Revelation are both fantastic games, and I'm sure Birthright is at least good.
Dark Souls III could end up taking gold because I still consider the original Dark Souls as the best game ever made.
@charizard1605: I'm going with QB also. He might have already played it like I have. I played it a few weeks back at a private showing, had about 45mis on it before I had to let other people play it :(
I played the Division by myself for a little bit? Nah, but seriously, I haven't played much this year so far in terms of single player. Hopefully as the year progresses there will be more out there. *Looks at Uncharted 4*
I'd say Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen PC but that doesn't really count. So FE Fates: Conquest because no one seriously likes lobster lord. Played some RotTR but it feels as dull as the first so I don't know how far I'll keep going.
