Metal Gear Solid 4. Anyone who's played it knows what an amazing experience it is. Seeing the Solid Snake saga end after 20 years of storytelling was something spectacular.
Or it would have been if the ending hadn't been that terrible.Metal Gear Solid 4. Anyone who's played it knows what an amazing experience it is. Seeing the Solid Snake saga end after 20 years of storytelling was something spectacular.

Fixed that up a bit.Metal Gear Solid 4. Anyone who's played it knows what an amazingly plot device-littered experience it is. Seeing the Solid Snake saga end after 20 years of so-so storytelling was something spectacularly disappointing.

Prince of Persia [2008], Mirror's Edge, Cursed Mountain, Condemned: Criminal Origins, Okami, Odin Sphere, Portal, STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl and Dead Rising.
Tentative: Fallout: New Vegas (not finished), Super Mario Galaxy 2 (not bought) and The Darkness (barely started).

Since I only play single-player games I can't name just one so:
Uncharted 1&2, ME1&2, Bioshock 1&2, HL2:E1&2, Portal, The Darkness, NG2, Bayonetta and Dead Space are a few that stuck out for me.

Fixed that up a bit. Now that's fixed So you agree it had a terrible story, and that no other game has a story so terrible. Alright then, I can work with that.Mass Effect or Oblivion for me, MP trilogy was great too but 2/3 of it were last gen games so... :?.
haha I have edited this list 3 times
I can't pick one. These were my top 10 in no order:
Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2
Fable II
Oblivion
Heavy Rain
Batman Arkham Asylum
MLB '09 or '10 the Show
Crackdown
Pac-Man C.E. DX
Uncharted 2
Edit: Keep forgetting certain games lol
Mass Effect 2 was terrible. The story made no sense, it was all a big mess.
See, I can do this too.metalgear-solid
there's opinions, and then there's just being a fanboy for the sake of it
in addition; u mad?
I would like to say MGS4 because up until May of this year it was definitely the front runner for my favourite current gen experience beating out tough competition from Batman, GOW3 and Uncharted 2. But unfortunately the most unlikely of game beat it out to reach the top spot, yeah I am talking about DEMON'S SOULS. Oh man this game does not mess about, it's very easy to hate on but play long enough and you begin to see why it's such a rewarding and addictive experience. Hats off to From Software and Sony for creating a title that brilliantly recreates that feeling of playing 8bit/16bit titles realised in a 3D world in the current gen.Swift_Boss_A
You sir have have amazing taste. Demon's Souls and MGS4 FTW! The only reason I didn't mention Demon's Souls is because it's not quite as good when you're playing offline. Online it's nothing short of godly.
