Best Soundtrack in a Video Game

Just like the title says. What do you think is the best soundtrack in a game? I call a tie between Devil May Cry 3 and Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII

The three tracks played for each fight with Vergil are phenomenal in their own right, and the rest of the music compliments the game well.

A lot of songs in Crisis Core are just remixes of songs from FFVII but the original tracks are the ones that stand out. "The Price of Freedom" (which plays when Zack fights 578947593485 Shinra soldiers) is the undeniable star while other songs like "Moonlight Wandering" and "A Beating Black Wing" are memorable in their own right.

Well take the themes from all the Metal Gear Solid games, along with other select tracks, the Halo theme, some songs from Final Fantasy games, "Still Alive" from the end of Portal, and that would make a good soundtrack.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Final Fantasy VII is runner up IMO.

Im going to go with the Sonic Adventure games. Just about every track I heard from those two games were awesome(as they usually are with most Sonic games IMO).

That would be either Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Castlevania: Lament of Innocence or Shadow of the Colossus. Hands down.

My personal favorite would either be SotC as well or Ys III- The Oath in Felghana.

Final Fantasy VIII

Mega Man 2, Donkey Kong Country 2, Ocarina of Time, Skies of Arcadia, and Super Mario Galaxy.

Shadow of the Colossus and Katamari Damacy.

Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Shatter (especially Neon Mines).

Chrono Cross and Xenosaga Episode III are tied for best to me. The Silent Hill series, Xenogears and Shadow of the Colossus are all standouts as well.

Idk, I love her work (She also had quite a bit of great MiDi work) on the series but Id still give props to Yasushi Asada for Judgement and Masahiko Kimura for Rondo of Blood. Beautiful tracks.

Castlevania Bloodlines/New Generation had awesome music for a Mega Drive game.

Enternal Sonata, Kingdom Hearts.. Only two that stick out for me.
