Best Buy is where I'd go, Wal-Mart's console containers look a bit beat up sometimes or opened like someone's actually played them and put them back in the box.
nothing beats good ol Game Crazy, that place is so faithful to there customers, plus they always offer good deals unlike gamestop >.> other then there though I like going to target, they always seem to have a nice selection (since not to many people buy games there they are never out :P)

I've always loved purchasing console's at Best Buy with their replacement plans. If the console ever just decided to brick then I would just take it to the store and get it swapped out in 5 minutes. Also, with my original Xbox they gave me the price difference back in store credit for a price drop that occurred from the time I bought my system to the time it died. I also love craigslist. I bought my 40GB PS3 back in January of 2008 for $275 which was a full $125 (30%) off of retail price and it was in near mint condition.

I would consider Newegg too since i get all my computer stuff there.
