Best Story you've ever played through in a game.

For me, it's MGS2. I can't even remember how many times the story pulled a 180 on me. The characters grow on you and you really feel for them. I can't imagine a game having a more engaging story than MGS. It was like a movie, but you get to play it.

Another noteworthy tale imo would be in Sands of Time. It was a pretty simple story with a really nice twist at the end that you could not have seen coming. The story overall was very charming, very moving, and at the end you feel like the prince is one of your buddies.

And the last one I want to mention is Knights of the Old republic. Man I would just spend hours talking to each of my party members learning more about them, their pasts..and taking that knowledge of them with you into battle is like fighting along side your AI friends lmfao. Not to mention the massive twist...involving revan...and his involvment with the Jedi Council...puts everything you've done into a whole new perspective.

Shadow of the Colossus, sure you just kill HUGE bosses, but soon enough you get attatched to your character, you really want his girl to be well again...and seeing the end made me sad....

Gow Of war 2 then mass effect then heavenly sword then splinter cell 2.

I would have to say MGS3 ending was probably the best game ending I have ever seen.

After knowing Bosses true intentions I actually felt quite bad pulling the trigger on her. It was also great seeing how Naked Snake got his status as Big Boss and everything he went through to become Big Boss, trully a fantastic ending and my favourite one by far

I really liked the first Police Quest story. It was a great adventure game. Video games aren't always the best medium for tellinga story because it either gets in the way of gameplay or is slapped on to fit the gameplay.Police Quest stands out among the thousands of millions of games I have played.

Code Name Veronica and Silent Hill 2 had pretty good stories as well.

definatly MGS3 for me it just sucked me in and didnt let go (it still hasnt i'm on my 13th playthrough) just an epic story and you really get a feel for all the characters i actually felt sad when Sokolov died =[

i also thought uncharted had one of the best storys i have ever seen (or heard for that matter)it is truly like playing a movie i love Nathan Drake and how the character is portrayed through the voice acting and his little whitty remarks and jokes (personal favorite was the u boat on the waterfall line lol)

Odin Sphere, it's very well put together, and it makes the somewhat repetitive gameplay a very minor issue; I just keep playing to see the next scene.
