Best Storyline for a Video Game

What do you think is the best Storyline ever for a video game.

For me it's KOTOR, followed by MGS2 

   For RPGs, I like Sukoden's story, along with FF7. Fable had a decent story.

    Not counting RPGs, I am a huge fan of Halo although the books helped that one fudge a bit. I also really like the Splinter Cell storyline and the story in Chronicals of Riddick (including the movies in this too). Half-Life has n interesting story too.

KOTOR

God of War II, and I haven't even beat it yet.

I like GOD of War. plot..   Not the usual save the world or fight for the greater good like other games.

KOTOR was the best, but the Elder Scrolls series had some amazing depth with all the different background information.pundog

Hotel Dusk, Majora's Mask, .Hack//G.U., Kingdom Hearts II, Dark Cloud 2, Radiata Stories, Oracle of Ages, and PM: The Thousand-Year Door.

 The storyline in Halo is actually extremely intricate and very, very good. I've read all four books and the way the story is put together is amazing.

Silent Hill 2

I was totally blown away with it.Such a mature story.

I also loved the Phantasmgoria series.Both games were briliant horror tales.

Diablo's story was barely the draw. It was all about teh dropz and teh phat lewts. :)

Starcraft has the best story I've experienced in a video game. Aside from Starcraft, I'm a big fan of Nintendo's style of RPGs like Earthbound, Paper Mario and the Mario GBA RPGs. They're just really, really witty and funny.
