best strategy game

what in your opoinion, is the best trsategy game ever.

mine is lord of the rings

and i like more strategy games on pc

Anyway my favourite strategy games are:

Generals:Zero hour

Company of Heroes and opposing fronts

Dawn of War and expansions

BFME2: RotWk

Halo Wars, no contest

Medieval Total War 2, undoubted heavy weight champion of the world

Civ 4 is close runner up though

right now everything is dog poop compared to Company of Heroes, but that will change when Dawn of War 2 releases and then everything will become horse poop then ...........jaisimar_chelse

Right now CoH is the best, but very good games are coming out like Empire -Total War, this game is so huge and I really like the setting of this game, DoW2 is good too but I don't think it will be as fun as CoH. StarCraft is my all time best and most beloved game, it will destroy all of these games.miladesn2

While the story is lacking, the gameplay and soundtrack more than make up for it. I've tried a lot of other RTS' but nothing so far has topped TA.

Starcraft, Fire Emblem: SS, and Jeanne D' Arc are my top favorite strategy games.

IMO Starcraft, The Setllers and Heroes of Might and Magic 3 are the best ever

Total Annihilation was Awesome... but my favorite Rome Total War and I loved Cannon Fodder which is at other end of the Spectrum

I need to replay starcraft..such a good game. It's my favourite RTS anyhow.

Don't think I even own one RTS

1. Medieval 2 total war ( no contest )

2. CoH and lotr battle for middle-earth 1 ( played it for 3-4 years and never got bored of it )
