For all those gamerswho've been gaming for years and those new ones too, which is your most prefared system on which you enjoyed most games and spent countless hours gaming on??

Been gaming since the late 80's and for each gen i always had my fav system, but so far nothing comes close to PS2.

My Personal Top5 :-

1) PS2, 2) Sega Mega Drive, 3) PS1, 4) Game Gear, 5) PS3

What's yours?

(NOTE: wasnt possibile to put every system thats been released seperately so i had to try and group them the best way possible for the Poll)

Anything present from 1997 to 1999 was the tip of gaming nirvana.

Late 90s - Early 2000s were the best imo no matter what systems you had, for me it was PC mainly.

I can honestly say i like equally all generations of consoles i've been able to play. NES and Master system were great, Mega Drive was my console of choice in the 16Bit era, PS1 was awesome and Saturn was fun, PS2 was the only console i played last gen and it was amazing, PS3 so far is my only console for this gen and it has not let me down, giving me games like MGS4 and Uncharted that i absolutely love. I can't name one favorite era, but i can tell my favorite console is the almighty PS2.

Definitely the N64-PS1-Saturn era. Especially since I was lucky enough to own all three.

Probably the 8, 16 and 32bit eras... but truth be told, I've been playing games for as long as I can remember, so most played is hard to call. I've probably had close to equal play time on all, including PC.

Nintendo and Ps1 are my favorites easily. But I chose Ps1 era because of FF7.

But Nintendo era was sooo good too, those were the days...

16 bit. Not really cause it had the best games, but because everything was so much better when I was that young. I was easily entertained and impressed. Now doubling back and playing some of the "classics" on LIVE or virtual console is kind of like realizing you were wrong.

That 64-bit era was damn near perfect for games. Whatever system you had, you knew you were going to get something great whether it be for PS1, N64, PC, etc.

Gaming was disgustingly good in the late 1990's. It'll probably never reach those heights again.

I think it has a lot to do with how old you were when the generation was happening. I think that you probably have the most time to game in you life is between 14-19 roughly. You dont have a job to worry about, if you do its not a career so you dont feel obligation, you have the most free time as well. Personally, its the PS1/N64 days. pure gaming bliss in a 100% nostalgia kind of way. Because I was in the above mentioned age bracket, I had lots of time to play a bunch of really great games

Well I voted this era solely on the fact of online gaming really kicking off (360-wise, PS3 still behind in some parts). If I wasn't in online play, I'd say one of the last two eras.

The current gen systems. Gaming has never been better. Plus I own a huge HDTV ( 61" 1080p LCD ) and an HDMI 1.3asurround sound system.

For me it was the Gamecube. During the N64 era I just didn't know much about games to play the good ones, it was during the cube era that I started to focus more on games and I had a few enjoyable times.

I don't count PC, since it isn't generation-based. But I'd say my favourite generation is the N64/PS1 era. I just got a N64 and its bringing back all the 32/64-bit greatness that was that time in my life. I never owned a N64 of my own but I always regretted it since it had some of the most enjoyable games I ever played on it. Now I own one and am buying games up by the truckload... so many fantastic memories and still some fantastic games.

Even though I am a PC gamer, I have to go with the PS1. I didn't have a computer then. I ended up buying 70+ PS1 games.

The super nintendo and the genesis were bomb. I had to say last gen though because the PS2 totally tops everything
