I'm yet to play Uncharted 2, but I did enjoy Mass Effect 2. I thought Gears 2 was great but isn't the best this generation.
socom confrontation. this is as hardcore as you can get online. u get kicked for camping except in certain situations were u being alive is crtitical
Personaly I think that Vanquish > Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> all other mentioned, there's a huge space between them
Either of the Gears of War games are the definitive third-person shooter of this generation and that is a fact.
No, that would be your opinion.Either of the Gears of War games are the definitive third-person shooter of this generation and that is a fact.

As for me it is Uncharted 2. I really want to try Vanquish, but I have to wait for a price drop before doing so.
i can guarantee iv played more gears in my life than u(huge gearhead not so much anymore but still atleast 15- 20 hours a week with gears online) and that is indeed not a fact lol they are fun thoEither of the Gears of War games are the definitive third-person shooter of this generation and that is a fact.

No way in hell is ME2 more of an RPG then TPS.Mass Effect 2 is more of an RPG and Uncharted 2 is more of an action/adventure game. I'm going to go ahead and say Vanquish since the controls for it are amazing and its a lot more fast paced than the others

Amazon has Vanquish for $50 right now but I've seen it at Target (or maybe Kmart) for $40 and for that price it's definitely worth it. Vanquish is easily in my top 5 games of 2010 and I have played a lot of games this yearWhat you just said is your opinion, and that is a fact.[QUOTE="brennan7777"]

lol I knew I shouldn't have said that. I haven't played it yet, and I just based it off of Mass Effect 1 which I have played a bit of. I guess I'll see for myself come this January
Definitely Gears of War. That series has influenced basically every TPS that has come out since. Without Gears a lot of those games would be very different.xTheExploitedI voted ME 2 and think gears is actually pretty low on the list. But now that you mention it gears was pretty influential wasn't it ?

It's very different. The game has no inventory and no items. I think the total number of assault rifles you get to pick from is two.Amazon has Vanquish for $50 right now but I've seen it at Target (or maybe Kmart) for $40 and for that price it's definitely worth it. What about $40-60 for a 6+ hour game (on higher difficulties, it took me 6 hours on Normal) that you'll definitely want to play through at least twice and has some crazy difficult challenges that will occupy even more time?

It's actually more like 5 but ya it has a lot less customization.Gears of War because it's brilliant on all levels, single player, co-op, online. It's an amazing experience. Uncharted 2 was going to tie with Gears for me but since Gears was the pioneer it deserved my vote
[QUOTE="BPoole96"]No way in hell is ME2 more of an RPG then TPS. well I think to be an rpg a game doesn't have to have stats, leveling etc. ME 2 has as many if not more choices than ever before, it has just as deep a story, and it's 30 hours long. It's hard not to call that an rpg I think.Mass Effect 2 is more of an RPG and Uncharted 2 is more of an action/adventure game. I got bored with the 15 minute demo so i doubt i'll play it more than once.:? Slo-mo gunplay has been played out since max payne 2 for me. I'll probably pick it up at $20.I'd say Uncharted 2 and second is probably Red Dead. All of the others are amazing 3rd person shooters too, though.

Yeah but did you know that it was really influenced by a game of last generation called Resident Evil 4 which almost inluenced every TPS this generation? and Killswitch that influenced almost every game that has a cover system ?
