I think it's Uncharted 2: Among Thieves With awesome single-player, superb multiplayer, and LIKEABLE characters (take that FF XIII!!) how can anybody hate Uncharted 2? The gameplay also amazing too, with combining shooter and platforming Naught Dog had made one of the best game of all time Followed by Mass Effect 2, while it didn't have memorable moments like Mass Effect 1, everybody agree that ME 2 is a better shooter than ME 1 With combining shooter and RPG, Bioware had made one of the best RPG of all time Which TPS that you think the best this gen?

I'm yet to play Uncharted 2, but I did enjoy Mass Effect 2. I thought Gears 2 was great but isn't the best this generation.

Either Uncharted 2 or Vanquish.

Gears of war1/2 are bad and ME1/2 are ok

Gah! Now this is tough. Was either Uncharted 2 or Vanquish. Grrr...ok...I love Uncharted 2, but I had to go with Vanquish. The game is just insane in so many great ways...and I've beaten it like 5 times and still can't wait to get home and play it again.

Mass Effect 2 Naw I'm kidding, Uncharted 2 is a lot better and it doesn't have planet scanning.

Gears of War, mainly just because of what it did for TPS this generation. Uncharted 2 might be a better game over all, but who knows if Uncharted would have been what it had been if it werent for Gears' influence. Plus Gears is just plain awesome.

Either of the Gears of War games are the definitive third-person shooter of this generation and that is a fact.

Going by TPS mechanics only probably GeoW 2. Because other wise it would be kinda unfair to compare an Action game that does only that against an Action Adventure and a RPG hybrid that do other stuff.

Mass Effect 2 is more of an RPG and Uncharted 2 is more of an action/adventure game. I'm going to go ahead and say Vanquish since the controls for it are amazing and its a lot more fast paced than the others

Definitely Gears of War. That series has influenced basically every TPS that has come out since. Without Gears a lot of those games would be very different.

gears 2 offered the most solid and enjoyable gunplay mechanics out of the bunch for me. Gears is what TPS's strive to beat.

Amazon has Vanquish for $50 right now but I've seen it at Target (or maybe Kmart) for $40 and for that price it's definitely worth it. Vanquish is easily in my top 5 games of 2010 and I have played a lot of games this year

$40-$60 for a 4 1/2-6 hour game is a bit much for me.

It's very different. The game has no inventory and no items. I think the total number of assault rifles you get to pick from is two.

Gears of War. i enjoyed Uncharted 2, but it's such a slow pace, vanilla, casual Gears with jumping.

Gears of War because it's brilliant on all levels, single player, co-op, online. It's an amazing experience. Uncharted 2 was going to tie with Gears for me but since Gears was the pioneer it deserved my vote

well I think to be an rpg a game doesn't have to have stats, leveling etc. ME 2 has as many if not more choices than ever before, it has just as deep a story, and it's 30 hours long. It's hard not to call that an rpg I think.

I got bored with the 15 minute demo so i doubt i'll play it more than once.:? Slo-mo gunplay has been played out since max payne 2 for me. I'll probably pick it up at $20.

I'd say Uncharted 2 and second is probably Red Dead. All of the others are amazing 3rd person shooters too, though.

Yeah but did you know that it was really influenced by a game of last generation called Resident Evil 4 which almost inluenced every TPS this generation? and Killswitch that influenced almost every game that has a cover system ?

Gears of War is my favorite pure TPS. Mass Effect is better, but it's more than just a TPS.
