Excellent choice. I'm not sure it's what I'd call the best ever (I learn towards FFVI in that respect), but it's easily one of the best, and in my opinion possibly the best soundtrack I've ever heard with such variety in the tracks.

I would say the best soundtrack has to be in Ocarina of Time. There are just so many memorable and amazing songs in the game, some of which actually play important roles in the gameplay as well as story. Maybe THE soundtrack isnt the best ever, but because it has such a big combination and variety (zelda's lullaby, lost woods, bolero of fire, gerudo valley).

Check out these reorchestrated versions of the Zelda songs. For Ocarina of Time I can pretty much click any song at random and I remember the song. There are so many different songs and they are just so memorable.

I can't consider Brawl for best soundtrack simply because the stuff that's original to the game isn't nearly as good as the rest, and it's kind of cheating to take the best songs from 20+ years of gaming and throw 300 of them onto a "soundtrack". However, if you're willing to accept all that, then yes, I can see the argument.

Halo has an excellent soundtrack, btw; it's one of the things that impressed me most about the first game. The game has a pretty cool epic-celtic feel to the music, and there are a few songs that are extremely atmospheric.

Mario (2,3, 64) and Sonic (1,2,3 and S&K) all consistantly have better sound tracks imho.

Anyways this guy is better than all of that.

I was about to make the bass line for this particular song. For those who believe it's easy to render game songs, I got only this to tell ya... HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH taking a synth tab to a guitar is never easy!

Castlevania (Catlevania is one of the hardest game to render)

Lufia II (The sinistral song is simply awesome... but like most of the games, it was made in midi with a synth, hard to render but I do it)

Double Dragon (Hell Yeah)

I do many, many NES and SNES songs at bass guitar, but I'm doing the synthetiser tab, which is extremely difficult sometime like the Sinistral beat of Lufia 2 which the guitarist on Youtube suck like hell to do... for a main reason, it's almost impossible to do.
