from serious songs though Peter Gabriel's "Curtains" from Myst IV still is by far the best game song I've ever heard. With "Late Goodbye" from Max Payne 2 coming as runner-up

Meh, give me some Symphony of the Night tracks or classic RPG tunes anyday.

I'd disagree... but its oddly pleasant for being in Mercenaries 2.

Wow that is actually really good satirical music; better than the overrated "Still Alive" song. Whereas the latter merely played on the wittiness and charm of the villain, this Mercs 2 song actually has edgy vocals/melody, a nice rhythm, and keen instruments: elements that make a song a critical success.
