Id say Crysis and Heavy Rain have the most REALISTIC faces on PC and consoles, though i think Mass Effect is a bit more realistic and detailed than UC2 (the faces/character models) My opinion though :)

lol, is the topic not about which LOOKS more realistic, not which has more detail?? And the faces in Mass Effect do animate and show expression, and even more so in Mass Effect 2, not to mention all of the alien faces are animated differently from human faces. Im not saying ME overall looks better, just that the faces look more life like to ME, and in Navyguy21, you are free to disagree, doesnt mean im wrong ;)

Honestly I never thougth Hevenly Sword look good graphically. Alot of things make the game look bad expecially the horrible shadows and bloomy lighting.

:? Just so you konw I have Mass Effect...on PC, ya know that version that scored 9.0 without all the glithces and framerate problems of the 360 versions which all the xbox fans praise.

It don't look better than Uncharted 2 period. It's not really up for something you can argue objectively. If I say Uncharted 2 looks better than crysis in any type of discussion I will get bashed by a horde of people telling me in no way shape or form can UC2 better better than Crysis because technically and visually it's just not true...well you saying Mass Effect lookes better in any sence is the same way.

Oh and lol at you saying the faces look life like, it's not even close. Comments like that makes me think you haven't even played UC2. Don't make me go find videos...Mass Effect isn't close to "life like" but when compaired to UC2 making that statement just makes you sound bias.

lol, i played UC2 (still playing it) and it DOES NOT look like that in-game. And stop trying to force your opinion on others, not everybody is like you dude. And that ME pic looks like PC on low, because it looks WAY better than that on PC, even on 360.

well considering only one of those is actually in game its not a fair comparison.

if i were to take a UE3 model from ME and apply 16x AA at 1080p and up some of the textures it would look as good as the UC2 model since thats exactly what was done to the UC2 model

thats inengine, thats not gameplay, and yes there is a difference. just because the cutscenes are rendered in 'realtime' doesnt make it the same as gameplay they are touched up since they require less resources to produce since the system is just running the motions. and if i had ME installed id take my own pic the faces ingame do compare, they look significantly better than the pic that was posted. i cant wait to see ME2. not saying UC2 isnt great it deserves to be up there with the best, but its not miles ahead of everything

just for refrence I pay Mass Effect max on my computer, don't try to pull my chain threating to post pics as if other people don't know what the game looks like. If you played Uncharted 2 you'd konw that the game transitions straight from cut scene right to in-game game play thru out most of the game. The game uses the same assets for cut-scenes as it dose gameplay...unlike mass effect. It's obvious you personlly just don't want UC2 to be better but the fact is it is, it wasn't crowed graphics king and given all the best graphics awards at the last game's Con because it was a little better, it was because it was alot I.E. noticably better.

I still love the graphics of MGS2 but I can't stand Splinter Cell CT (asa game), dose that mean I should go around saying that MGS2 looks better than SC:CT because I like it better even when it obviously does not? Like I say, you opinion has been noted.

Honorable mention to Team Fortress 2, very expressive.

Crysis by far. UC2 has great facial animations, but most faces lack detail, especially drake looks very blurry and plasticky, which is weird considering he's the main hero

Metal Gear Solid IV, Crysis, Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect are games that comes to my mind when the conversation of best looking in engine faces is brought up.

im not trying to pull your chain. just pointing out the faces look significantly better on the pc version, that picture looked like medium settings 720p with 2x AA. whereas i can run it maxed out 1080p.

and yes it does transition just like MGS4 BUT there is a difference. the way the cut scenes work is bascially the ps3 is just rendering it, all the instructions are in place it just has to render it, its going through the motions which allows it to add better DOF, better AA, better textures, better a lot of things. they are touched up, if youre actually comparing gameplay to cutscenes you can see it. its less noticeable with UC2 because ND did such a good job with the visuals one reason ive always liked them, but its there. and yes it uses the same assets but they are touched up, like any game that uses ingame cutscences.

and you seem to be thinking this is ingame, this is in engine which is why those UC2 pics count, but you were making it out to seem that ME2 faces looked like last gen or bad in comparison, where on the 360 version maybe but inengine on the pc version not so much.

and uncharted 2 isnt a graphics king never was never will be. and dont give me the console graphics king BS either. so i could care less either way.

Mass Effect 2, woo wee! UC2, Crysis, MG4, and Heavenly Sword are also among the best.
