game is anything but fun. its slow and boring. its incredibly scripted and linear level design. dual wedding doesnot change anything.

He is only honest reviewer i have seen. many belive its "oweee old schooolz" when its not. it try to be story driven FPS but fail at being for having long, boring cutscenes and force us in stealth sequences.

Doom is masterpiece so PREY looks amazing as well. if modern games done right they can be amazing. but sadly most AAA developer do not want them.

Doom is not console port. neither will be Prey. they are simultanous release games and more akin to PC games. come on my friend.

i dont care if game is avaliable on console or not multiplat or time exclusive. I care if level design is not walking in straight line. knowing arkane are masters in level design today. no doubt prey will be excellent. plus Prey wont be overpowered like dishonored because more alien power you have. more big alien nightmare will hunt you.

I like Metro games even thought it doesnot have anything old school elements but they are PC oriented games so they are great in my book.

Doom is 100% a console port. The pc version has enhancements, but it is built for console gamers. Doesn't have any modding, all level design built for console gamers in mind. Checkpoints for console gamers in mind. Level up upgrades with console gamers in mind. Multiplayer with Halo console players in mind e.t.c...

Metro is pretty much Call Of Duty underground, it's just as bad if not worse than New Order. Doesn't want you playing the game because intent in telling it's boring ass story. If want watch movie, I watch movie.

Overall, Return To Castle Wolfenstein is great. An almost masterpiece if not for poo poo stealth and poo poo bosses. Both single and multiplayer deliver everything a young idealistic boy could want in a Nazi related product.

Id software do not have console sense in development. they are like valve. only console element is checkpoint and that is not much of issue. there is no iron sight, slow gameplay, regen health etc to declare it console game. theres the reason why Doom is most beloved PC game atm on steam.

I love RTCW but Doom is 10 times better in every shape or form. stealth section in RTCW suck.

I, personally, enjoyed the new Wolfenstein. Just as much as I enjoyed the old ones on PC so long ago. Extremely excited to see this banana game!

Just when you start getting into New Order... they do something silly like strip all your guns and throw you in a new area or send you to a narrative ....

A masterpiece if you are into below average gameplay. The game is boring and repetitive as ****. I can't even force myself to finish doom due to boredom. Regret spending my money on this pile of trash. Unfortunately, I cant even the refund it anymore because I am already above two hours.

It has one of the best gameplay in FPS. I cant think of any FPS that has better gunplay than Doom not named FEAR.

Atleast witcher 3 offers variation, though I never said it was a masterpiece, but doom is just too boring and boring, its fun the first few hours and then it gets just too damn repetitive, overall gun gameplay is just too simplistic.

Dream on, the witcher 3 offers better combat and gameplay overall. I mainly play multiplayer fps, cause most singleplayer fps games suck ass anyway, all you do is shoot brain dead AIs in the same fucking manner over and over again. Multiplayer shooters offer fun and replayability, at least the good ones. Red orchestra 2 is a good multiplayer fps game for instance.

majority of best games has been SP FPS. Have you ever heard of Deus Ex 1 and System shock 2? 2 of most influential and inspirational games of all time.

its funny how system shock 2 and deus ex has better RPG elements than witcher 3 when former games are lable as FPS while later RPG.

now when it comes to MP FPS. i can say most of em suck. COD, killzone, Halo, overwatch, titanfall etc

CDPR went same route as Crytek did. abondon PC and went to console. PC gamers bash the crap out of crytek while praising CDPR. and irony is. no matter how dumbed down Crysis 2 was. it was still better than witcher 3.

Red orchestra is not a console game. If someone is a console lovers its you. You are the one who sexually fantasizes about a console port aka Doom. Also, who said I was praising the game you just mentioned. Also, the game you mentioned are hardly the majority of fps multiplayer, there are plenty of good pc only fps shooters. Crysis was ok, so was halt life, but the others I don't care much about. You can whine how much you want about the witcher 3, its still a better game than doom although not a masterpiece either.

It didnot ruined Deus Ex HR (despite having console practice like cover system), MD was ruined by corporate greed

and Im sure It wont ruined System shock remake/reboot because those developers are old looking glass studio people and demo was very PC centric. same can be said about system shock 3 in future. its not 2007 anymore that you have to release bioshock a dumbed down console rip off in order to release a game.

Eh? Human Revolutions wall cover seemed pointless, it was in there for console Gears Of War people, even though it didn't fit the game it all. Likewise it had lame Metal Gear Solid people, taking inspiration from console games.

Not a fan of the main "tortured hero" character, saving the princess from the castle. Seemed abit lazy and cliche.

Something like Stalker, a game rife with bugs and poor animations proper pc game. Really good.

Apparently The New Order was shit, Doom was shit, Witcher 3 was shit. Do any of you ever actually enjoy games? I mean sit down and actually appreciate them?

Maybe it's because I started on computers with a strict 10 colour palette and text adventures but I appreciate all of those games for what they tried to do. And they deserve their praise, certainly.
