I like Oblivion and Fallout will be good too but it might piss off the super hardcores like Oblivion did
I wouldn't even consider myself a hardcore gamer and I wasn't a huge fan of what they did with Oblivion. They needed to make it more accessible than Morrowind (fast transport and horses were a huge improvement) but they killed the RPG element of the game. Considering Fallout's following I don't see how Bethesda can do this right.
Was there ever any doubt that it wouldn't be a multiplatform title? We're talking about Bethesda here - this isn't the first game they've bought up, scrapped and re-released as a multiplat title.
Oh my god, don't remind me of Deus Ex 2. -.-, The sequel to Thief was horrid too thanks to consoles. Seriously, every franchise has gone down the **** after being multiplatform. Thief, Deus Ex, Elder Scrolls, GR, R6.

Oh man Theif 3 was a DISASTER. DAMN XBOX.
And Rainbow 6 has been BUTCHERED by console development. Whee is a REAL Rainbow 6 game dammit?!?!?!?
Same goes for Ghost Recon.
Clancy games now = Arcade shooter. Gone are the days of hardcore realism, and true tactical gameplay.

Oblivion was okay Morrowind was alot better though
If Morrowind had the voices, graphics engine, and lacking of constant loading..yeah. But I put my money on Oblivion..that game has done things I am yet to see surpassed.

Bethseda making Oblivion is the reason I'm worried about Fallout 3. They dumbed down Elder Scrolls and I can easily see them screwing up Fallout the same way. =(

What?! The only thing dumbed down were convos...and I agree they coulda had more voices and added a couple hundred mroe convos...but this is 3 years later we're talkin (fallout 3 date)
I am sure they will imrove the things they want improved and make an amazing game!
