Meh.
Not really looking forward to a streamlined, ridiculously linear, and dumbed down Fallout 4.
I'd be excited if Obsidian was making it.
*sigh*
I'll still buy it. :(

Bethesda Game Studios better be working on the next Elder Scrolls game and NOT Fallout. Leave Fallout to a studio with better hands. :)ShadowDeathX
Exactly. I came to say this.
Put Fall out on rest, and give me next gen Elder Scroll (set on Atmora or Aldmeri Dominion) with a new, dope engine.
I'll buy 14 copies of that sh*t.

UPDATE: Bethesda has confirmed what we suspected: no more Skyrim downloadable content will be made.
"For those asking, yes, today's thanks/farewell Skyrim post does mean there is no more DLC coming," Bethesda marketing boss Pete Hines tweeted.
ORIGINAL STORY: Bethesda Game Studios has moved wholesale onto "our next major project", which is presumably Fallout 4, and left Skyrim behind.
Minor updates to Skyrim will still trickle in, but meaty additions like DLC will cease.
"For the last year and a half we've been working on new content for Skyrim, from the game updates, Creation Kit, Steam Workshop, Kinect support, to DLCs," wrote Bethesda Game Studios.
"Parts of our team have also been in pre-production on our next major project, and that game is at the point where it requires the studio's full attention to make it our biggest and best work yet."
Bethesda hasn't announced or mentioned Fallout 4, but has always fully intended to make more than one game - Fallout 3 - in the series (Fallout: New Vegas was made by Obsidian).
Fallout 3, like Skyrim, sold by the bucket load too, so there's every incentive for Bethesda to carry the series on.
There was even a brief tease in January this year when the actor who played Three Dog in Fallout 3 tweeted that fans may not have seen the end of his character.
How long development of Bethesda Game Studios' next game will take remains to be seen. There were two-and-a-half years between Oblivion (March 2006) and Fallout 3 (October 2008), and three years between Fallout 3 and Skyrim (November 2011). Could Bethesda be planning an autumn 2014 launch?
Whichever year Fallout 4 ends up coming out, it will almost certainly be a PC and next-generation console release.

Fallout 4 confirmed?
That's good, had plenty of fun with Skyrim, the DLC and the mods, but at this point, I'm fatigued by the game, so I'm happy to move on. Another DLC would be a bit of an overkill, and I'm not sure if I'd be in a mood to play it...
Also, I hope their next project is Fallout 4, bugs aside, both the F3 and New Vegas were great games, especially when modded!
Hoping for Fallout 4! *crosses fingers*

a new fallout would be amazing.

Agreed. Fallout: New Vegas was much better than Skyrim.
Obsidian just needs to work on their quality control. People complain about bethesda games being broken, yet turn around and d**k ride obsidian. Very few devs make games that are broken like obsidian games, short of the devs for Big Rigs. Sure, they have great ideas, but you can hardly call them games. More like playable glitches.Meh.

To be fair, they supported this game more than most devs support their games. To act like u deserve an expansion is a bit unfair considering more devs just give u a skin pack or a weapon pack then call it a day. And these are games that are significantly smaller and could use an actual expansion. i think the content they released for Skyrim is more than adequate and I believe that they are currently focusing on TESO. They dont wanna expand too much on Skyrim cause it may take away some surprises they wanna show off inT ESOWow, not even a full expansion? Worse than Oblivion confirmed.

Oh f*cking Please stop the teasing, how I wish this were true :x
Hell to the yes, I'd be cray-craving another installment of the Elder Scroll series by Bethesda. I'll give you a few reasons why.
I'm still playing Skyrim to this day. Its the most preposterously ambitious IP I've played this gen, with enormous replay value that definitely makes the $60 dollar pricetag its b*tch.
And yes, Its go its flaws, no doubt.
Bad combat execution (which can be overlooked if you decide to go with a pure Mage build), a lackluster Story (ok), lacks strong character development (downgrade compared to Oblivion or so I've heard) and the main storyline takes a while to get entertaining.
Story, character development and combat. 3 aspects that you considered bad, can be efficiently rectified with a sequel and then some.
Everything else in Skyrim was a blast to experience. The plethora of spells to choose from, the diverse ways you could complete a mission (you could let your summons do the fighting for you / go rambo yourself / fight from a distance, etc), the somewhat limited yet gratifying options you were given as the main character, the Shouting feature was a neat addition to exercise on your enemies, an inordinate world to delve into, pleasant soundtrack, the multifarious skilltrees, etc
Skyrim was like a work in progress, so to speak. Yet, while the execution was...arguably...a hit and miss, the concept behind it left a lot of doors opened for some legitimately potential twists that can make the franchise one of the absolute best open world adventures out there...if not The Best. And I'm dead serious :P
If Bethesda aims to fix Skyrim's essential screw-ups while providing a next-gen engine that is able to provide a better array of graphics/physics/particle effects/animations/lighting, etc etc

----> It would be hard to resist another go at the bombasticness that has become the Elder Scrolls with the foundation of Skyrim
Or.........you can do like i always do and abuse the Gamestop return policy (they deserve it! :P) Just buy the regular game for cheap now. Then, when the GOTY edition comes out, buy that, install the content, and return it and say you didnt like it. They give you a full refund and you still get the content!! :DGuess it's time for me to get the GOTY edition once it's out.

After the rumors came out about it being in boston, this wouldnt surprise me if it was FO4 or whatever they want to call it. I'd enjoy a new FO game, as long as it builds on NV, that was a great game after the trainwreck of FO3
Why would you want skyrim 2? Don't you want something new? something fresh? Im pretty sure that the overwhelming majority of people dont actually beat an Elder Scroll game. One of the main problems is that the world is large and varied but it doesnt give you the drive to keep going on. I need characters I care about, events I care about, a story that doesnt take 20hrs to get interesting, and most importantly, a combat system that doesnt suck. And the most important thing is that they are already working on a new TES game (TESO), so I believe it would be over saturation to start working on a new TES game and it may take from the mmo fanbase. Some people want fallout 4, and I dont mind, but personally i would love to see something new

Dont get me wrong, i love skyrim and it totally deserves its AAA score. It does have some flaws that need to be fixed, but i just want a break inbetween games. Dont need this to become another Assassin's Creed lolSay what you want about Bethesda, but their games are ANYTHING but linear. Not sure how you got that idea.Meh.

On to the next abomination for them. I really hope Witcher 3 doesn't disappoint.
Why is Fallout 3 crap but New Vegas good? I hear good things all over about New Vegas, I might pick it up.
