Bethesda trademarks a Fallout TV series

Fallout TV show in the works - rumour

Fallout publisher Bethesda Softworks has registered a trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for "an on-going television program set in a post-nuclear apocalyptic world.

Maybe to build up hype for Fallout 4?

They did this back in 2009, this is old news.

I actually had this idea a long time ago. I was thinking they could do a format kind of like lost, where a person goes into suspended animation in a vault during modern times and comes out in the post-apocalyptic wasteland.

A post-apocalyptic show would actually be pretty budget-friendly too, since most of the props would be found objects with the occasional bit of sci-fi tech thrown in (like the robots and power armor). It would be difficult to achieve 100% accuracy to the game's look on a TV budget, but I think that with a few liberties they could get close enough.

I think it could have potential, like simllar to the walking dead but instead of a group trying to survive zombies it would be them surviving in a post-apocalypic world.

They should just sell the rights to someone who knows how to make good TV.

yup and it was just getting good aswell, it was only starting to really kick in during the 2nd season bout the ASA,Ravenwood and J&R's whole involvement and the series basically ends on the start of the 2nd American Civil war between the Republic of Texas and the ASA.

I know theres 2 comics that are dubbed season 3 and 4, as well as a movie planned but im not getting my hopes up.

But if they do a Fallout tv series this is how i want it done, hell i even would be happy if they could get some of the Jericho cast or directors/producers.

I'd watch it. I kind of imagine that it would be similar to the movie "The Road"

whats wrong with a TV series if they do it right, refer to Jericho it tells a better story in a post apocalyptic setting than fallout could ever dream of tbh.

I guess Fallout 1 could work as a TV series, and Fallout 2 had a great entourage of characters...but it would lose a lot of its charm. I just don't see it working - but hey, if they got Joss Whedon behind it (or someone equally funny, who is better at focusing on character development than overall plot), I'd watch it.Planeforger
