Thats easy. PS3 controller has NO RUMBLE! 360 controller wins by default....

The 360 controller is a pretty fantastic controller, it would be amazing for everything BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD FIX THE DPAD.

360 is better because the PS3's controller has weird triggers. And even though you asked us not to, I have to add that the Wii and PC have better FPS controls than both the 360 and PS3.

I always thought the 360 controller was better, until I played uncharted. The aiming in that game is the smoothest ive ever seen on a console game. I dont know if thats due to the developers or the controller, but that game made me undecided.

The triggers for the PS3 controller felt really uncomfortable to me imo.

FPSs just don't feel right on the PS controller with the two analog sticks down at the bottom right next to each other.  It's very awkward.

This feels like a pretty loaded question, even long time cows (like myself) would give it to 360

360, despite the crappy d-pad. I never played shooters on my old Ps2, but it would feel weird to play with 2 analogue sticks at the bottom imo, but I guess I could get used to it

i'd say the 360

but even if the PS3 controller was the best, it wouldn't really matter because the games aren't there to justify it

halo 3 and bioshock are prime examples of why the 360 is the choice for FPS fans

Depends on what you are used to. I owned an PS1 and PS2 so for FPS I would have to say the PS3 because its such a familiar control scheme. It all comes down to what you are used to or can get used to.

The PS3 is designed with Japanese players in mind. And the Japanese don't play FPS. Asians have smaller hands compared to Americans and the PS3 controller is to small for my giant hands.

I think both controllers are good. They have slight positioning changes, but nothing substantially different. Both work and feel good. If you are an avid gamer you should probably be able to jump back and forth between the two pretty easily.

ive always had playstations, so im used to the analogue layout, and therefore find it more natural, so at the end of the day, its really just a case of which one you find more comfortable, and yes, rumble is a nice extra, and itll be great when the dualshock 3 is available worldwide, but ive not missed it half as much as i expected to.
