PS3 since HD DVD is deadR-Dot-Yung
I just wish Transformers was Blu-ray...
Ah well... that's like the only HD-DVD exclusive I actually care about.
That depends on how you think the "next-gen" format war will go. Of course, if needed in gaming, devs will go with what the console's offer and sell. If one fails, obviously there's little chance for much use. Well, I guess most of what I fore-mentioned was directed at HD-DVD. Blu-ray could lose but its already in every PS3.
And then, of course, there are those pesky little things we call games. I think you're going to find some great titles on both 360 and PS3. Its just a matter of preference there. But also tied into that is the first point on next-gen media.
Big circle.
Actually you can rent movies off Xbox Live, I don't really ever watch a DVD more than once so it's good for me.thirstychainsaw
Renting a digital version of a movie is oneof the dumbest ideas I've ever heard. If you could actually BUY the movie, it would be fine. However, renting is stupid if it's digital.
Also, unless you have the 120 GB HDD, there's not nearly enough space to have an HD movie on the 20 GB for even the shortest amount of time. Also, we haven't even started talking about how long it would take to download said movie.
xbox 360, it has better games and much more robust online. Plus everybody likes the edge on graphical power.lathan94
Since when did the 360 have the "edge on graphical power"? I missed that...

It takes about 10-20 minutes and there are no extra, just the movie.
Hd-dvd is dead? Try watching Transformers or Shrek 3 in Blu-ray. Won't happen.fanboy999
Two movies cannot hold the entire format up against whole exclusive producers on Blu-ray.
The PS3 is the all-around better value with not only HD movies and games but it also is a great DVD upscaler. jimm895
360 has better games and it has it's own hardware scaler.

how is HD DVD dead? HD DVD has big exclusives and Blu Ray has none. Transformers not in blu ray means big blow to blu ray and big boost for HD DVDs.
Do you want games like Final Fantasy XIII, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Gran Turismo 5 or do you want games like Halo 3, Forza 2 and Mass Effect?
For the former, choose the PS3. For the latter, choose the 360.
If you're basing your decision solely on format, I'd go with the PS3.

Its still way too early.

Not only that, HD movies account for only 2.5% of all disc movies sold so far.

lmao, you would think since hd dvd players are selling so well, that their software would be doing the same. i always figured more ppl who own the hardware, the better their software will sell. but in this case i was proven wrong. since hd dvd software is being out sold by blu ray which has less owners who owns a blu ray player. Please Log In to post.
