Why does the 360 go slightly above 720p?agentzero23
Because it can? It is a more powerful system (according to Tim Sweeney and John Carmack) when it comes to pushing polygons, so it is not surprising that it can run SC4 at a higher resolution. The Xenos completley destroys the RSX.

Really? I don't see anything on the 360 that comes close to Killzone 2 or even MGS 4 graphically.

I wonder why they didnt tone the resolution down on the 360 and add more detail?if the resolution is higher there must of been slightly more juice left for the 360 version

Does every thread have to end in a console war. Yeah I know this is system wars, but guys please spare the peaceful threads of your fanboy wars.

Still doesn't come close to Killzone 2. MGS 4 also has better character models.

First of all. All of the alan wake gameplay footage is from the PC. Second gears vs. KZ2 is debatable.

yeah, that's weird. for the first time , I see a game downscaled to 720P, not upscaled.

This. What's the point of scaling down the resolution to 720p? Why not just run it in it's native resolution 720p? That's why the PS3 version looks a little cleaner.

nvidiagamer you can say Killzone 2 looks better than Crysis for all I care.
You are just wrong. Killzone 2 is an ugly looking game.

fanboys are really really dumb.... John Carmack SAID: "the 360 is a superior piece of hardware for developers." ITS EASIER TO DEVELOPE ON NOTHING ABOUT SPECS, proven fact PS3 is more powerful than 360, as for the next part.... ALAN WAKE DIRECT X10 demo on one of the worlds most powerful PCs WILL NOT look the ssame on a 360 PERIOD....
fanboys are seriously messed up putting a twist on words

If you think Killzone 2 is a bad looking game then anything on the 360 has to be last gen according to your poor wording. Killzone 2 has better graphics then the 360 will ever have. Halo 3 is terrible. Gran Turismo 5: Prologue > Forza 2

Fanboy I see. They should have ran the game at 720p and added more detail instead of going slightly above 720p and scaling back down.

Because it's a resource saving way to achieve anti-aliasing. (it's basically super sampling the image which is a type of AA)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supersampling
