ps3 Soul Calibur IV = 1280x720 (no AA)

xb360 Soul Calibur IV = 1365x960 (no AA, software scaled to 720p)

I don't believe that resolution would help the game visually so that is very strange that they did that.

I wonder why they didnt tone the resolution down on the 360 and add more detail?if the resolution is higher there must of been slightly more juice left for the 360 version

First of all. All of the alan wake gameplay footage is from the PC. Second gears vs. KZ2 is debatable.

This. What's the point of scaling down the resolution to 720p? Why not just run it in it's native resolution 720p? That's why the PS3 version looks a little cleaner.

ITS EASIER TO DEVELOPE ON NOTHING ABOUT SPECS, proven fact PS3 is more powerful than 360, as for the next part.... ALAN WAKE DIRECT X10 demo on one of the worlds most powerful PCs WILL NOT look the ssame on a 360 PERIOD....

Yeah it's definitely a bit of an odd choice. It can really make things look a bit strange in 1080p. where you have a double rescale. One possible explanation is that the HUD was designed for 720p and they wanted to keep that uniform across both platforms.

If you think Killzone 2 is a bad looking game then anything on the 360 has to be last gen according to your poor wording. :lol: Killzone 2 has better graphics then the 360 will ever have. Halo 3 is terrible. Gran Turismo 5: Prologue > Forza 2

Because it's a resource saving way to achieve anti-aliasing. (it's basically super sampling the image which is a type of AA)
