BF3 and MW3...

I just for the life of dont understand this division of CoD MW fans and BF fans. They are both modern military FPS's. They both feature intense, fun campaigns and they both feature fun, addictive multiplayer modes. I realize that CoD is considered by many as more of a small skirmish, run and gun, lone wolf type of game while BF is much more heavy on team work and huge battle fields. My question is why not get both? I can all but guarantee that both games will score 8.5 to 9.5 across the board and both will supply FPS fans with months and months of fantastic gameplay.

I will just be getting MW3, i might get BF3 later down the road but i doubt it.

I'm looking forward to both.

But I'm getting MW3 first.

BF3 shortly after release (possibly pre-order, I rarely do this). It will likely become my new shooter multiplayer staple.

Modern Warfare 3 once its available for under 30 dollars. I'll play the SP and the co-op (Assuming they don't take it out and make it DLC or something like that, knock on wood) and will likely try the MP once or twice, it'll suck by comparison of BF3, and I'll never touch it again.

It makes sense to me, they're both very different games, and therefore have different fans. COD is arcade, fast paced, run and gun. Battlefield is large, slower and more realistic and tactical.

I don't ever buy COD games new, only used.

BF on the other hand...

Why should I spend more money when I don't even want to play the 2nd game? simple as that.

I'll probably get one of the two, depending on reviews & I'll take into consideration the respective communities for BFBC2 & Blops.. I hear BFBC2 has a smaller community than the original CoD4...

BF3 is the only multiplayer FPS that I plan to give the time of day to this year. I easily get burned out playing first person shooters online these days as it is, so BF3 should more than suffice. Besides, most of my gaming time this holiday season and well into next year will be dedicated to games like Skyrim and Dark Souls. I'll be too busy to even notice that MW3 came and went.

Just BF3, although I always end up with a CoD game - either my brother buys it or I get it as a present.

The eye candy is mostly for the sp,on the mp I personally couldn´t care less.

Maxing B3 isn´t really the most important thing,64 players and larger maps are.

probably both, question is which will i buy first and which one to keep, ill probably find out after e3 when i get more info on the games

Right now I'm thinking only BF3, however I was sceptical about MW2 and Black OPs before release and ended up bying them so...

EEeh, the "gritty modern-ish combat" subgenre of fps games really aint something I am very interrested in.

That said I will be getting BF3, I somehow always liked the BF games, despite the visuals never appealed too much to me, the gameplay clicks so well for lil old me :P

Also, as the psudo Hermit I am I do support ANY dev making games that take advantage of the PC, and not just make a sloppy port, its getting silly how poor support the PC gets from alot of devs.
