BF3 DLC hits PS3 first confirmed with open beta the 29th

Here to all SW fans out here, DICE and EA confirm today Battlefield 3 on the PS3 will get its open beta to everyone this month on the 29th on PSN till the 11th of next month as well as confirming that any DLC to release First on the PS3.. does it remind you of something similar? yes its the same thing Xbox360 has with Call of duty but unlike Call of Duty DLC which lasts a month on the 360, BF3 DLC to be exclusive on the PS3 for only a week. EA also confirm the PS3 version gets a free game with purchasing BF3 which means 2 games with 1 price.

Yea I guess. EA is in still in bed with Sony and Activision is cuddling with MS. Still expect sales on 360 to be higher than the PS3's...for obvious reasons.

It only timed exclusive and only lasts for about 2 weeks or so....I don't see why everyone is making a big deal about this :?

The DLC news is new (albeit news that's already been posted several times), but I don't see how PSN getting the beta is anything new. We've known they would all get the beta on the same day for a while and we learned earlier this week that that day would be the 29th.

Theres a big difference between a month and a week. A week is pathetic, is that the best Sony could do?

It will sell more on 360 but not in a huge margin just like any other shooter, they all sell great on both conosles but anyways there is your solution. its only like $35 for the PS3. so play online for free plus BF3 with 1 game for free plus a 360 controller on ps3? triple win!

But let's be real here, who cares? Honestly I play on PS3 and I don't care if xbox live get's something a little earlier than I do. I can wait and it's not that big of a deal to me. Sure I would like it if EVERYONE got the same thing at the same time, but I don't consider timed exclusive DLC to be "ownage" by the lemmings just like I don't consider invisble mulitplat differences to be "ownage" when the lemmings claim they have "superior" version.

Both of those claims are ridiculous....and I just ignore them....

lol I always find it funny when people care about sells, do you own stock in these companies? Are you a shareholder? If not then why do you care? How does it affect you if a game sells 100 more copies on one platform and not the other?

Either way the game will sell around the same on both systems and will have the same number of players.

Slow day for news? Because frankly not worth posting.

Anyone know what this free game is? I couldn't care less about DLC unless there's a VIP program like in BC2. I hope it's BC1 i never played that game but highly unlikely i guess.JohnF111

I actually just got (another) PS3 and bought a controller similar to this, except the D-pad is mor playstaion-ish....and it works AWESOME I love it.......plus I didn't see anything about the freer game in the article, what game is it exactly?

umm im pretty sure the guys over in our gaming group posted this like 5 days ago :P :lol:...nice try tho ^_^ well its a nice deal, the game looks great, battlefields always had a funny type of story too but i just wasnt as immersed in it as i am in some other games sadly
