If true gamepass is becoming the standard purchase for all gamers, with this many third party developers releasing games on day of release why would anyone still opt to pay $70.00 out of pocket on day of release? And if your not interested in gamepass what would it take to win you over.

If true, ouch @ Sony. But let's not be surprised, Sony doesn't think a subscription service is going to take off and matter for gaming.... just like they didn't think online gaming would either. Sony better be careful or they may end up going the way of Sega.

Don't worry, they'll beef up PS Now later this year to get the first party games... so cows can enjoy Bugsnax 2 when it launches

I don't play the Battlefield games, but funny af if true.

On a side note Dice needs to go back to their roots, or should i say EA should let them go back to their roots.

This would be good because the BF6 community (especially if there's crossplay) could be massive. BF6 is the first BF game that i am excited for since BF3.

This is interesting if true. Meanwhile some are celebrating watching others play games instead of games actually coming to their system 😂

Couldn't agree more Battlefield needs to go back to when the series focus more on teamwork and stopped trying to copy COD. But unfortunately I doubt it will ever happen especially with this rumor ughh.

https://www.ubergizmo.com/2021/03/battlefield-2021-cod-perks/ if true will be skipping this garbage.

I wasn't referring to their Battlefield roots, i'm talking about their racing game roots.

Cows are all PC gamers subscribed to Gamepass now, so at least they'll have some decent games to play next to their free PS Indies.

Because not everyone cares about renting. Not everyone needs to play '100 games' a month. Who has time for that? Especially games that I've already played or don't care about. I can get DOOM (1993) for $2.50 on the e-shop.

@SolidGame_basic:

The subject was who would pay 70 bucks for bf6 if it was on Xbox gamepass, not that you can find doom 1993 for 2.50 on Nintendo.

Now we can return to the good old days when cows used to say all Xbox gamers wanna play are mindlessly base shooters. And they can go back to pretending they play sophisticated generic looking JRPGs... but one camp won't be paying $70 an entry for the honor.

This, and after seeing MLB21 going to Game Pass (a Sony made game BTW), cows gotta feel like...

Except in reality $70 games are on Xbox and rental services exist for Playstation games 😆 Including EA Play.

Who said that “Everyone cares about renting”?

Why do you need to play 100 games a month, instead of playing a handful of games for months?

Did I miss anything else, and did I really need to address every single one of your unrelated comments to show you that I read your “whole post”?

Can someone contradicts oneself anymore in a single post? Why would anyone buy the game if he doesn't have time to play games or only play once or don't care about?

Though, I do agree why Sony won't have a service like this since their first party titles are one and done.

Damn, recent MS moves and PC had turned solid and girlusocrazy into tgob. Not a single day passes without these two crying.

But only a sucker would pay $70 when they can play it for a nominal fee.

@SolidGame_basic: I understand your point of having limited time to play and people are going to differ on how they want to approach it, the flip side is that because I have limited time, really big time intensive games aren't always on the menu, sometimes I just want a new experience, and having the ability to switch out for a new experience with no commitment is nice. Especially since I am a busy person and don't have limitless time. And I feel like renting is a miss representation most of the games are stable and stay on the service, so it never really feels like time is limited. I see it like I have an extensive game library and I rarely go back to replay campaigns, so owning a hard copy really has minimal value to me.

Most games on Xbox are 60 not 70. Xbox is charging 60 for 1st party games. Sony charge 70.

I doubt there's anyone left at DICE who knows anything about making racing games. So it's probably better that they don't. It's all about making CoD games with a slightly larger scale now.

With GP you can actually give games that you don't think you care about a try. If I'm going to spent money on a game I want to make sure it's a game I should enjoy. With GP I can give games a try and I might be surprised to like games I thought I wouldn't enjoy. Like Crusader Kings 3. I've never been interested in games like that, but suddenly I've spent over a hundred hours with it now. And GP is so cheap. 2 or 3 AAA games a year and you're saving money.
