Mafia 2 was dissapointing...Freeroaming just isnt as good as the old one from what i remember of it :'( so glad i only had a shot at my mates and didnt bother buying it.
Altho i will get it at bargain price when it drops to like £20-25.
I loved the look of kane and lynch 2. Definitely doesn't look like a PS2 game. Anyway, probably lost planet 2 for me since i loved the first one so much.
I would've said Bad Company 2. I really enjoyed BC1's single player and online maps, but BC2's MP maps lacked the large scale destruction (especially with vehicles) and the single player took itself way too seriously.
how Resident Evil 5 isnt in that list I dont know, most disappointing sequel ever for me along with Deus Ex : IW
the thing is though they were both good games, but their predecessors were stellar

Yeah. Being serious (I was kidding about SMG2) Resident Evil 5 was aweful. However it didn't come out this year. I don't really care for RE games, but I really enjoyed the co-op play of RE5. Although, the story and cutscenes were awful. Towards the end, I just started skipping them.

Well basically for a game that takes 10 to 12 hours to finish, the game has you doing a lot of boring tasks that take up at least a couple of hours. The action scenes are poorly designed and frustrating because of the poor gunplay (at least on 360) and idiotic checkpoint system. Everything on the blip (except for the clothes and body shop) is just a means of lousy filler, and for the most part useless.
It still manages to be solid mainly because of the story and how well crafted the setting is. But all in all, a wasted opportunity.

This. The online has been improved with better gameplay, more weapons but they shrunk the maps to get all the CoD kids to buy it. And the SP was horrible

The maps weren't any smaller :?. Well the conquest ones were, but they were honestly too big for 24 people in BC.
It really isn't said around here, but most Mass Effect fans are downright appalled with Mass Effect 2's mainstreaming. My younger brother is one of these people; He loves Mass Effect to pieces, but he actually hates Mass Effect 2
I disagree with Army of Two being disappointing. It is by no means a great game, but it does top the first one by far, so as far as 'sequels' go, it isn't a bad sequel. I voted Crackdown 2, since it's basically Crackdown with half the content.
You will know when it releases officially. Played it trough at a friends place and the ending was just.... Ugh.

Your posts are allways amazing! So far every single previewer have stated that the game looks amazing and then a known 360 hater comes here and claim it looks bad. How surprising!
em GOW3 . The 2nd wasn't that good though the mechanics improved. So i was like cool they made a mistake, they're first big outing on the ps3 will be amazing. No. It was horrible, nice to look at for about 10 minutes then it gets stale and boring. Then the story, voice acting. lol. I wasn't dissapointed with any of the others since the first in there series weren't exactly "great". Mafia 2 was great, apart from the driving, the shooting was basically uncharted in gansta town. which is always good :)
Bioshock 2 is obivious its a completely crappy game with completely crappy multiplayer.
God of war 3 cause it just didn't give me what I wanted, it was the same old gameplay, without the grand vistas most of the big stuff was wasted on battles, I wanted to see truely magnificent vistas and distant areas I could eventually go to which most of the big stuff in this I could never go to, and its violence was wasted on useless murder scenes that weren't really needed.
Mafia 2 for me, still a great game, but it just felt like a step back from the original in many ways, character development felt non existent for the most part, the pacing was all over the place and it's pretty obvious a lot of content, which would have given it some much needed extra length, was cut from the final release.
Yeah, GOW3's story was kind of a letdown. Hearing what Jaffe had in mind for the ending before he left was heartbreaking. It was just a way better and more creative ending than [spoiler] "kratos finds himself then dies but then doesn't die the end athenas mad lololol" [/spoiler]
