which do you think broke more fans's hearts?

I liked both games quite a bit, and so did many others. I guess I'll choose TP, because I was personally disappointed by that game in contrast to FFXIII.

I think there was more outrage that twilight princess was rated a flop here, while the outrage with ffXIII fans was that it actually wasn't as good as most expected.

Zelda TP was the highest ranked game of 2006 according to gamerankings and scored pretty much the same as Windwaker (GC version actually scored 2 points higher then windwaker btw)

Can people still not get over TP getting an 8.8? Seriously 0.2 more and it wouldn't have flopped, yes the reaction was big which still amazes me people got that carried away over it but seriously how is it or FF13 the biggest flop ever? What about Lair, AA hype to only get a 4.5 and it still had a huge reaction.

As a gamerXIII. Zelda may a flopped in SW however its still a great game. FFXIII was justhorrible.

A review can't be wrong seeing as its an opinion :?

Anyway, it's all part of a silly definition here on SW. A game is hyped a certain score on the board and if it doesn't get that score or higher, it's called a flop. It really has nothing to do with whether or not a game is good.

Zelda. I think a lot of people knew FF13 wasn't going to be all that great, but Zelda came out of no where. Especially since it was exactly what the fans were asking for.

Twilight Princess.

Although i could easily see FFXIII being a bigger flop had it stayed PS3 exclusive. May 2006-June 2008, FFXIII was hyped like crazy.

Personally FFXIII was more of a flop for me and i think TP is the better game.

Well, FFXIII is total garbage. I mean, the game is terrible. But I don't know if that makes it the biggest flop or not.

I dont know since both were hyped like crazy and for a while to hell LOZ was hyped from the gc to wii. So yea idk I still enjoyed both games and thought FF13 was a step in the right direction.

Since GS reviews always matter here, TP.

But IMO TP is easily a better game than FF13 and is my favorite 3d Zelda.

ZTP wasnt a flop at all. i dont understand the hate for it..it was a great game. as for ff13...i wouldn't consider it a flop, but i dont like it. bought it, played like 6-7 hours thru it and then sold it for red dead.

Legend of zelda wasn't really a flop it was a good game. FF13 on the other hand....that was a big chore to get to the actual game 20 hours in...and it still was disappointing...

Zelda was an AMAZING game. I dont understand why people hate on the game so much. I personally loved it. As for Final Fantasy 13. I found that game to be extremely boring and uninteresting.

Score Wise i think Zelda was bigger flop. Considering every Zelda game is hyped to be the greatest game ever.

Opinion Wise i think FF13 was biggest flop in a long time.

The reaction to FFXIII's score was a mere drop of water compared to the tidal wave caused by TP.

Still really liked TP though.

Its Zelda though I think you would have many agree tp was better than ff13

ff13...twilight princess was actually a good game, ff13 is actually overated.

I'm not so concerned as to whether a game flopped or not as to whether its good. I bet Twilight Princess was 10 times more fun than the cowpat that was Final Fantasy XIII. An interactive storybook wouldn't have been half as bad if the story was actually cohesive and the characters actually interesting.

Zelda Twilight Princess, only because of that rule that says that only Gamespot scores matter on system wars. Otherwise, most of the real world considers Zelda:TP the best game of 2006.

FF XIII. I played about 5 minutes of TP before I got sick of it, while I never bothered with FF XIII.

Although, Twilight Princess is one of my favorite games of all time. Loved it.

I liked TP on the wii. It was a good game.

Zelda fans were MUCH more disappointed by the GameSpot score for their game.

Final Fantasy fans were much much MUCH more disappointed by their game.

Those were the days is right. We don't see anything too big anymore, sadly.

I wouldnt say both flopped, but Zelda was a dissapointment compared to FFXIII because i expected more. I still liked the game more than FFXIII, and it scored very well despite it not being what people wanted. Btw i wasnt part of GS when this happened does anyone have links or pics of systemwars or links to threads when this happened? I rly want to see

The flopping of Twilight Princess caused what is probably one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen. A six-year-old could have handled the news 50 times better than many of the people here did.

And to top it off, when everyone actually played it, it was revealed that Gamespot's review was actually fairly spot-on.

I would say Twilight Princess because it had the much bigger backlash;

• It was practically hyped a AAAA
• The Wii Version actually scored .1 lessthan the Gamecube version.
• Sheep cried for Gerrtsman head to be put on a platter, and to this day is still accused of being biased against Nintendo games
• It even got a freakin tvtropes page named after it.

The biggest thing that spurred from FFXIII was major cow damage control over it going multiplat.
