No demos.

For the past couple of years I have been trying before I buy with my 360. With the wii I really have to look into a game before I buy it or find a friend to ask how it plays.

I bought NMH because I loved the look of an advert I saw at 2am in the morning the day before release and I enjoyed every second of it.

My piont is that nintendo could sell a lot more games and cut down on the amount of shovelware being sold if they just let people download demos

they would do well if they released demos, but the problem is that the wii's internal memory couldn't hold more than 1 game demo, if even that. They really need to release an HDD

I'd never want demo's. It takes the gamble away. And it destroys your hype too.

Gaming's not supposed to be a gamble :|

I don't want to risk $50 for every game I play.

And it helps the hypre. If the demo's good, it get people more excited about playing the final product

I see your point but when I buy a game I want everything to be new.
And you're right about the gamble part. Didn't think about it :P

What? :|

I don't really like 'gambling' $60 here and there.

EDIT: Nevermind, I read your above post.

They have limited space on the console, so demo's would be impossible. The only other way they could add demos are by disc with an issue of Nintendo Power.

Demos probably would get me to buy more games. I had no desire to get NG:DS until I downloaded the demo off of the Nintendo Channel. Now that I've played it I want it.

At first I agreed with you, but the more I thought about it i think a demo channel might do some good since Nintendo is speaking a much newer audience that don't normally play games.

Really? I thought it was the fact that it doesn't have any games. MKW/SSBB/NMH and it looks like Nintendo's tapped out until 09.

1. It can only add to the hype or confirm the worst fears about a game.

2. You ummm..like to gamble 65 dollars away all the time? Most of us really don't.

lol gamers are so thick. If you don't like a game, sell it on ebay. Works for me 100% of the time.

well wiis biggest problem is lack of space.

more space would open up the possibilities for demos and addon content for games and so on. 512MB for Wii demos is nowhere near enough. ya need gigs. even 10GB of storage would do nicely on wii.

Are you serious? You want to gamble your money on not worth to buy games because of the hype???

I always play before buy... When i first played Haze for example i said to myself... "Thats not good at all".. And i didnt even think to buy it... Why demos arent good for ya , i dont get you? Do you pay for your games or your parents? Well if youre that rich that you dont mind every time you pay for 60-70 euros for a crap game then ok... But what if some ppl arent and they dont want to waste their money to craps? Try before buy anyways.

A long time ago....when dragons terrorized the countryside...there was no internet. The villagers would flock from near and far to a magical place called, "Blockbuster"! In this magical place, the villagers were armed with the ability to bring games home for months at a time for an affordable sum. This land where blocks were busted also busted the fear of fully purchasing a game only to finnd out that it wasn't a game at all, but a pile of donkey dung shoved into a box! There was much celebration as the villagers no longer had to pay full price and as such they developed the cheer of, "play before you pay" and it was shouted from one side of the land to the other! The villagers still had dragons that ate their livestock and stole their maidens, but that pesky decision on games had been solved. The...End!

Naw, biggest problem is that you still can't get them without lining up (here, at least).
