Biggest rivalry?

Console Company-wise: It surely isn't Nintendo versus Sony CEfor all that think so. Although the big N has lost to SCE for about 10 years now, it wasn't much of a fierce rivalry since SCE had such a huge advantage each generation, and that other companies were in on the challenge (Sega, Microsoft). So it was like a one-sided thing ofthe Nplaying catch up.The biggest company rivalry was most definately Sega vs. Nintendo because there was only a two-sided battle that had strong popularity on both sides,some marketing campaigns clearly jabbed at each other ("Sega does what NintenDon't"), andtherivalrylasted for a long time.

Games-wise: This one is tough. I don't want to say Sonic vs. Mario since it really wasn't all that heated. It was just the consoles that were trying the one-up each other. Each Sonic and Mario game still had their own thing going on. I'd say Halo versus other competing FPS takes the cake on this one.

Gamewise- GTA vs. Driver series (loads of references to each others games)

Consolewise- Nintendo vs. Sony (it used to be Sony, but Nintendo finally caught up with SCE's marketing strategy and started dominating).
