Bioshock 2 will be a prequel?

Czech gaming site Hrej.cz posted new information about Bioshock 2 which cames from some unnamed source within 2k Games. According to the source Bioshock 2 is now in pre-preproduction phase and 2k plans to release it in summer 2009. According to Hrej at this stage of development they are trying to focus on storyline and graphic design. Plot will be set BEFORE events from original game. So it looks like Bioshock 2 will be a prequel and we will wittness more about the fall of underwater utopia...

you would prob be part of fontaines resistance against Ryan. You would use plasmids and everything against ryans security teams and big daddies.

Bioshock was a remaked System Shock 2, so Biosock 2 will be a remake of the original System Shock.

well I think it had to be no?

Bioshock is about the world of rapture and most of the game is atmosphere. If it was linear then Game 2.... wont' say more for those who don't know but you know.... game 2 would be dumb

I wonder if it will be the begining of Rapture and showing how it lead to become what it was. That would be kewl. Start from the begining of it. I just wish there was more interaction in Bioshock more like an RPG. If Bioshock was mix of Mass effect or KOTOR in terms of dialogue and interaction with others it would be better.

Hardly ever talking to anyone wasn't that great for me. Like if they made a film of it it wouldn't be done like that. And I know it was done for the atmosphere but you can still have interaction and have it be a spooky world.

And no talking with atlas was NOT the kind of interaction I'm talking about nor the other few moments you talk with people

It's not a remake of System Shock 2 it just uses all the same elements.

A prequal ould make sense. I think it would be fun to play through the downfall of Rapture.

Despite his username, Thinker_145 does anything BUT think. Just look at his posting history. Bioshock is a game that asks you to do just that, and that upsets the people that want evertyhing laid out for them.

As for the prequel rumor, I think it'd be cool. The war between Fontaine and Ryan could be quite a setting. And to witness Rapture's fall would be just incredible.

yeah....the ending was crap but everything up to it was just fun live free or die hard stuffs sorta speaking. With lots of extra sound tapes to listen to for the actual story.
