I just don't see this game being quite what it's cracked up to be, I mean review score wise. I think it will land around 8 - 8.5 territory. As for the GOTY, how can it compete with games like Halo 3 and Crysis? Don't get me wrong, I am looking foreward to it and all. I'll give it a rent. Does anyone else see it this way?

I think it is one of the very few games out or comming out that has a strong shot at being GOTY.

I think if the gameplay systems the devs have been talking about all work out and the experience is lengthy and compelling, it has a chance, but I don't think it'll be a strong chance.

The videos don't lie. This game is going to be everything its been promised to be and then some. The stage show was a perfect example of that quote that goes (along the lines of) "players just don't understand that they are open to an enviorment like non other. Everything reacts how its suppose to react and so there are options that you never thought you'd be able to do in a videogame". The demonstration damn right shows it.

I disagree. This game could easily get GOTY.

I've seen a bunch of videos, but I still don't see it having the lasting value of other multiplayer games. Games like Halo 3 just seem so much more exiting. But i guess thats the thing with Bioshock, you have to give it a chance. Can we all agree on that?

EDIT: Im still really sure it won't get GOTY. :P

Halo 3 and Crysis, from what I've seen, seem like pretty run of the mill FPSs, the technology behind Crysis is impressive, and the full destructibility of the environments is nice, but it terms of combat, I'm just not seeing it, and we've seen next to nothing on Halo 3, with the exception of the multi-player, which seems all to familiar, so I don't know how we can even start comparing it to Bioshock and Crysis. Bioshock, on the other hand, seems to actually take steps to innovate gameplay, at this point, it seems like a sure bet for FPS of the year, and it's certainly one of the front runners for GotY
