Bioshock On PS3 This September

Boston (eCanadaNow) - Reports state that Bioshock is finally set to hit the SONY PS3 this coming September.

The latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM) along with other sources have stated that the PS3 version of Bioshock will release this coming September.

The PS3 version of Bioshock wil include all of the previously released downloadable content, as well as improved visuals over the Xbox 360 and PC version.

PS3 owners have been clamoring for Bioshock on their next-gen console ever since it launched on the Xbox 360, and it appears it is finally ready to happen.

So, after all it will come to the PS3.

If true, too little too late for me. :( I'm currently playing through it on 360.

But its great news, and who knows maybe I'll still pick it up since I'm borrowing this copy from my roommate.

It's a little late to just now release it. They should've done this a LONG time ago so that everyone would enjoy the game. Now games like Dead Space and Fable 2 will take away from it.

And I do remember reading an article debunking it. O well

Sorry, but whoever wrote that "article" probably "fortgot" to mention this was in RUMORS section of EGM, thsat is 100% false, and not happening

I really doubt it'll have improved visuals over the PC version, so I am going to have to say I don't believe this. If it is true, I still don't care because Socom is coming out in September.

If it really has the extra content and improved visuals i'll probably buy it for the PS3. Elsewise I don't see the point when I could probably get it cheaper for the 360 by then. But this is great for the PS3 only owners.

Funnily, I was just thinking to myself, I have a gaming rig. I could have got this game a long time ago, but suddenly, the idea of it coming to the PS3 entices me to buy it now :P

Although I've never believed the 1,000 other rumors about this, I believe it this time. Remember the Bioshock devs were looking for people with "PS3 Experince Required" and everyone thought that meant Bioshock 2 might come to the PS3? Maybe this was it... anyway, it seems much more realistic now, especially if EGM really does say it.

I hope they sell it for $40 though, like Lost Planet for the PS3. I dunno though, considering Bioshock is still $60 for the 360.

They should release it for $39.99. I don't see it selling a million copies on the PS3 that late in the game. Everyone who wanted to play the game has already played it on the XBox 360 or PC by now. We're all ready to play Bioshock 2 now. I'm curious as to how well this game will play on the PS3 since it's just a port of the game.

That game isn't going to stay exclusive for long. What are the developers going to do with the completed PC/XBox 360 versions? :lol: It'll get released eventually.

Dammit, I was just about to buy it this weekend for the 360. But if it has improvements to it, then I guess I'll "just wait" 'til September.

But it wasnt really meant to be a timed exclusive. As far as everyone knew, Bioshock was never coming to the PS3. I agree, Haze definitly wont stay exclusive long. It'll "flop" in terms of sales for the PS3 I think. No one is excited about it, and the only people who were forgot about it with all the delays, lol. What are you talking about completed PC/360 versions? You mean with all the extra DLC on the disc?

The general consensus from the Microsoft consumers was that it would never make it to the PS3. Now that it is, they're falling back on this 'too little, too late' excuse to mask the fact that they were exaggerating and using excessive hyperbole.

It wasn't exclusive anyway and now everyone can enjoy it.

the latest stream of news of it coming to ps3 has still to be debunked or commented on by the devs so i guess its happening for real. usually they would come straight out like few days after the rumour and debunk it

I'll remember you said that *if* MGS4 ever goes multiplatform a year or two after it's release.

This was obviously a year contract with MS and that's why the devs had to deny a PS3 version (it was probably in the contract). Sony should actually learn from this and try it with 3rd party games.........come to think of it they probably are already doing it (look at Haze)darthogre

I would agree. If this rumor proves true, and it very well could, it'll be a real boon to PS3 owners. Ithink everyone that wants to experience this game should be able to. It's fantastic.

I think the main reason for the delay was the developers simply didn't have enough time to work with the PS3 hardware. The game was very poliished, and they didn't want to send out a half-done piece of garbage.

Yeah, if this rumor is true, then there's been plenty of dev time, why wouldn't it look better?
