[QUOTE="horrowhip"][QUOTE="GGNoRematch"][QUOTE="horrowhip"] 60% of Bioshock's PC sales are from Digital Distribution and its sold well over in Europe. The NPD number only account for US Retail Figures... So 80,000 games sold for 16% of the market is amazing...
PS - Here is how I got my figures, Europe accounts for 60% of the PC market and thats skimping it.
So out of 40% in the US, at least 60% purchased through Steam or Direct2Drive. That means the USretail figures account for 16% of the market.
So take 80,000 and multiply it by 5 and then add another 40,000 and you got approximate figures for Bioshock PC. So thats 440,000 copies. Then, remember PC games sell at a steady pace 4-5 years down the road normally. Half-Life 2 still sells VERY well on the PC for a 3 year old game. Its hit the 13 million mark.

you joking me?
No I am not joking... The US is a small portion of the PC gaming market. In Europe and Asia, PC gaming is HUGE, completely dominating consoles in terms of market share. As for Half-Life 2, that is a fact. If you count Steam sales along with retail, Half-Life 2 sold 13 million copies worldwide.
Well, if you can provide a link for that, we'll believe you. I doubt Half Life 2 sold 13 million copies. Half Life isn't even popular in the Asian countries. I don't even think it was released in that region. In any case console gaming in the U.S. along is 12 billion industry, so I can only imagine how many billions it is in European and Asian regions.
Don't say things you don't know. CS is very popular in asia (which is bundled with HL)
