But the visuals aren't without flaw--the game has an annoying seizure problem that almost looks like a correctable bug. On some consoles, the game hitches up and totally freezes for anywhere from one to five seconds at a time, then proceeds as if nothing happened. It doesn't seem to be tied to any particularly noteworthy parts of the game, and it happened only after playing the game for hours; but once it started, it didn't stop happening--even after we began an all-new game--and it can freeze up two or three times a minute. It's not the end of the world, but it's extremely frustrating and one of the few knocks this game has against it.

I noticed a bit of texture pop in when i played on the 360, along with the game giltching up on me to where i had to restart it when i was about to go get andrew ryan (frame rate dropped really low then it froze), but other than that the game ran fine

BioShock was the only UE3 game that didn't have texture pop-in for me.

This was a problem with their 360 if I remember correctly. When the review came out and this was posted lots of people said they never had this problem (Me included).
The second time I played through the game I had the hitching problem in the beginning level. However, the patch fixed it and the thing runs fine for me.
Also, with the unlock framerate thing, has anyone done that. What are the cons of doing it?
idk about that, i never had any framerate trouble myself.[QUOTE="mtradr43"][QUOTE="blazinpuertoroc"]also i remeber the 360 version having some jittery framerateBioShockOwnz

Well, I did have issues, and had the game crash on me twice(360). It didn't stutter much, but it did stutter. I haven't bothered to even check the PS3 version, as I have it for PC now.

well my copy of the game will occasionally drop in framerate and freeze for a few seconds the continue. I guess maybe it was a glitch?Either way I only got to play the demo for a few moments and WOW I havent played the 360 version in a while but I noticed a big downgrade. I dont remeber the 360 version looking as blurry, or TONS of jaggies and even dull textures. Maybe the 360 also had the same problems, i dont remeber but Im very dissapointmented. It is VERY noticeable

Also happened to me, but only when changing rooms. My neighbor brought over his PS3 and we played the demo and the 360 game side-by-side. The 360 textures definiately had more detail to them and the PS3's framerate would get jittery during fights. The 360 would slow down but not like the PS3.
Verdict: I guess the PS3 just doesn't have teh hidden powarz

Oh, and my neighbor is a PS3 fanboy. He tried to say that even though the 360 version looked better, the PS3 version was going to be better because of the DLC.. I told him if the game get this unplayable with the framerate, the DLC is only prolonging the agony.. lol.. He laughed.. was kind of bummed because he's always swearing that the PS3 games look better. I finally put that argument to rest for him.

Just finished playing it. No framerate drops and looks exactly like the 360 version, TC is lying/misinformed.ChrnoTrigger
You are telling me that theres no framerate drop after you get off the sub and fight the guy thats up the stairs? I just watched it on my neighbors PS3 and the framerate dips like its wheezing. I can't tell if you're flat-out lying or if you don't know what a framerate drop looks like, but it definitely does NOT look as good as the 360. You can expect comparison videos to be put up online any day now and we'll see your credibility sink.
