Bioshock - Somewhat Official Early Release Confirmed by 2k! (link included)

It appears that BioShock has changed it's release date to today. There has no been any official conformation from Microsoft or Take Two and neither of their PR agencies are available for contact. However, many things are proving that this is true.

1. Toys R' Us in the United States has been selling copies today
2. The commercial now says "Available Now" and this has changed from when I saw the commercial 2 hours ago
3. The game is driving the hype train after the demo and it would be smart to release today
4. Ken from 2K has confirmed it according to unofficial NeoGaf sources // it matches with the commercials I've seen

UPDATE: I have just gotten somewhat official information that the game will be sold through every store as of now that already has stock of the game and they will be shipping the game rapidly to all stores. They have advised that there will be alot of confusion among retailers and that due to these issues, you may not be able to get your copy until things have been cleared up.

My Own Update: Here's more TRU good news.....

Buy ANY version of Madden and get 50% of any game

Combo this with Madden (even the DS version) and you get 50% off Bioshock!

Take 2 is the publisher or big owner of 2k games. Not the developers. Irrational games are the developers. However they have been renamed to 2k Boston and 2k Austrailia. So your post does make some sense :D.

Buy the DS version.. ($30) and get Bioshock for $30 and then sell the DS version on ebay....You can probably get like 20 for it on ebay brand new I bet. That way you get Bioshock for what...$40 + you get it early!

2K's website says nothing about Bioshock released yet. We'll have to wait till' tommorow. Until then, the demo will hold me. :D

I'm Pretty sure it's just the 360 version (as of now). I know that TRU doesn't sell PC games (atleast around me). Tomorrow it might be full on go for every store so the PC version might be available as well tomorrow

I'm actually hoping because I wanna play the PC version (I know it will be best probably), but the allure to get the 360 version is hard to resist....OH DECISIONS!
