Bioshock stealing MP3's thunder much?

all I hear of is Bioshock lately, and I have a feeling that it will be that for many weeks after launch

I wonder how many people are going to even realise MP3 is out? (becides the hardcore sheep)

not to mention what if MP3 doesnt get AAA? MP2 was 9.1 ... then theres hunters..

MP 3 is surely not being forgotten. In fact the reason it's not spoken so much here as well, is because A) Bioshock got an early release for some. B) MP 3 really has nothing availible. The people who have Wiis can play some videos on the Preview Channel, which gets updated like every three days. However, there's nothing, nada, zip, zilch said about the game or even videos.

It's gonna be a AAA game I'm sure. It's just that it's gotten very little attention, cause we have nothing on it.

Besides the the whole Metroid campaign thing Nintendo is doing on Wii consoles...

Still, Nintendo needs some commercials. Today, I saw a Bioshock trailer continuouly playing on a TV at a Fry's that would catch anyone's attention.

I haven't forgotten about MP3. I'm actually kind of glad that MP3 got pushed back a week. Now I get a full week to play Bioshock and then when MP3 comes out I can dive into it for a while.books83

What if I'm one of the millions of people who doesn't have Wii, and have been waiting for a compelling reason to buy one? Shouldn't MY demographic be one Nintendo is advertising this to?

So basically, you're saying that the only people Nintendo needs to advertise the game to are people who already own a Wii, which is why the only marketing is on Wii channels. Brilliant.

I am a Metroid fan, and I do not own a Wii. If I wasn't a frequent forum user, I wouldn't even know Metroid Prime 3 was coming out this month. Nintendo screwed the pooch with MP3's marketing, there's no way around it. This game should be pitched as a system seller, but Nitendo isn't pitching it at all. This game is going to have lackluster sales and it's going to be totally Nintendo's fault.

Metroid, halo, madden, zelda, cod ect are games that you already know if your gonna buy them or not with or without hype or advertizment.

Metroid Prime 2's sales were lackluster. Obviously, if Nintendo doesn't even tell people the game is coming out, average joe isn't going to buy it. Metroid, unfortunately, does not sell itself, no matter how great of a franchise it is. It's always been a cult favorite, and to sell to the public it needs lots of hype.
