Which one do you like better. Although Ive only played Dragon Age, I heard the storys are all very similar, where has Black Isle has made one the best storys in a game and a very succesful franchise.

Planescape >> Baldurs Gate. :P

Thats your opinion. Not only that, Bioware has produced more awesome games.
I really wish they never disbanded. How many people from Black Isle studios went to obsidian?I'd say bioware, but only because they've been afloat to make more. I would love to see what kind of stuff Black Isle would make today if they were still around.

but they are still around, in the form of Obsidian. Butchering Black Isle's name in their marketing agenda.
This made me laugh. Ive heard that about Mass Effect 2, and then they got rid of the isometric view from DA 2. Hopefully Obsidian can find a good publisher and make some bring back clasic RPG's.Black Isle because BioWare is trying their damndest not to make RPGs anymore.

Obsidian is a hollow shell of Black Isle at best. Obsidian is missing many key developers than went over to Troika and didn't return.[QUOTE="Wolfetan"][QUOTE="Vaasman"]I really wish they never disbanded. Wouldn't it be great if Bioware got the rights for Vampire Masquerades license? I mean the last game (one of my favorite rpgs of all time) wasn't far off from the kind of mechanics Bioware has been developing and using for years.
Bioware: KOTOR, mass effect 1 and 2, baldurs gate, Star wars: TOR, THe witcher, Neverwinter Nights, Jade Empire,
Black ISle": Fallout 1 and 2, Icewind, Planescape
BIOWARE DEFINETLY
On a side note... wouldnt it be awesome if Bioware made the next Fallout?

I think it was in some ways closer to Deus Ex than any Bioware game, but since Ion Storm is no more I guess Bioware would do a decent job with the license, but only if they went to a more role playing aproach, unlike their latest games and apparently the next ones. :P Honestly,I would like to see Obsidian doing a new VTM game, but with time to do it the way they wanted it and with a decent financial support.Bioware: KOTOR, mass effect 1 and 2, baldurs gate, Star wars: TOR, THe witcher, Neverwinter Nights, Jade Empire,

Lol? The Witcher was dev'd by CD Projekt, and Mass Effect is a pretty predictable RPG, definitely not praise worthy in my opinion. Jade Empire was plain bad.

Sure, but I'm just quite surprised at the Witcher being listed as a bioware game. The style couldn't be any different.

Its combat system is extremely similar in many regards to Biowares and the dialogue system isn't much difference either.. And I honestly don't trust Obsidian.. They seem to be extremely keen in releasing half baked programs.. even what som epople consider their best (Mask of the betrayer) I found to be extremely dull. Though I am bias because I hate the majority of DnD campaigns that tries to use epic campaigns.

I know what you mean,I just always thougtyh that VTMB was in some ways similar to Deus Ex,it´s just the way I always seen the game.Obsidian games usually have many technical problems, but to be honest,so did VTMB.:P I really like their games, especially NWN2(with MotB)and even Alpha Protocol,I still think that with the proper resources( a thing they never had, along with time to develop a game properly) they could do much better, because everything else they do besides some really nasty coding is great RPG wise.

The witcher? Bioware?
bioware wishes :lol:Ok looking over the list, Black Isle was better Pre 2000, but the only major game Bioware had before then was Baldur's Gate 1, while comparable to Fallout or Torment, Black Isle had more good games out.
After 2000 Bioware has been the unchallenged Wrpg king for 10 years now.
Bioware - Baldur's Gate, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Knights of the Old Republic Black Isle - Planescape Torment Yeah, I'm going with Bioware on this one.Guppy507

I didn't forget anything. I only posted the games I liked, from both devs. ;)Black Isle was shut down early 2000's and the reason they didn't release much at that time was they were having a dispute over the D&D license.
