If they weren't vag's, they would just have taken the auto aim (which is what COD has, not aim "assist") out. As it is, it just leads to the same stupidity found in RDR online.

If you think COD's assist is auto aim, then you didn't play Quake 3 on PS2. People just had to be in the screen and the bullets bended onto them. This is weak target tracking, which I would call assist.
No, I certainly didn't play Quake 3 on PS2, but that doesn't change how pervasive the auto aim in CoD is. Just because it's worse in another game doesn't mean it's not ridiculous in this game that we're talking about. All in all, I feel the auto-aim, lock-on, snap on silly aim bot in the MP component of BO isn't as bad as MW2, it's still silly and ridiculous, especially considering they seem to do it just to make the game more popular, which is disgusting.
I turned it off, but when it was on it showed me too many people's locations as it snaps to them through walls or what ever else is in the way. The disparity isn't as bad as RDR where there is a literal snap on aim assist, but it's still gross that this is considered anything other than a joke to players.
I remember the first time I played Halo 3, and at some point my reticle was tracking (on its own) a person as the moved towards me. I thought this was absolutely stupid and, as a result, could never take the game seriously again.
I just look at it like this. Horrendous lag + stupid auto aim = a game depended on random kill assignments, which is a laughable online game.
