Black Ops III beta coming to PS4 first, starting August 19th

The Call of Duty: Black Ops III multiplayer beta will begin on PlayStation 4 starting August 19. Developer Treyarch Studios announced the start date today in a post on Twitter.

Unfortunately, that's all Treyarch said. We still don't know what the beta will consist of, or when it will become available for Xbox One and PC. Treyarch says "more information coming soon."

The Black Ops III multiplayer beta will not be held onXbox 360 or PlayStation 3.

You can guarantee yourself in the Black Ops III multiplayer beta by preordering a physical or digital copy of the game.

The Black Ops III multiplayer beta coming first to PS4 is just one part of publisher Activision's new relationship with Sony. As part of the new Activision/Sony agreement, all Black Ops III DLC will launch first on PlayStation platforms. Previously, DLC came to Xbox platforms before other systems.

Do you even play the CoD games? heck i didnt even touch advanced warfare and i know its a completely different game than black ops 2, CoD games get a new story mode each time, bunch of PvP modes, perks, streaks, etc, it get co-op modes and a lot of things! i mean the devs are trying to be different.

want to look for true laziness? just look at Bungie with Destiny, NOW THATS a game i worry of influencing other developers to be lazy, a game with NO story, a game that makes NO sense, a game that relying on lottery system, etc.

CoD is a fine franchise that can be completely ignored, no need to hate on it the franchise has dedicated fans.

Yes I do, I try all of them out and they are the same game every single time, like I said it's the same game with different spin, just enough done to call it a different product. I don't care about Bungie, who is Bungie working for? Activision? Who is responsible for Call of Duty? Activision?

They've set a horrible precedent in the development world that has influenced other developers to mechanically alter their games to ride the success train, some which didn't even need to. Halo 4, they tried to be CoD in so many different capacities and for no reason, Halo is already a dominating franchise and lost tons of its identity because of this... Look at what happened to Resident Evil 6 by trying to follow the formula of Call of Duty, it was the worst Resident Evil created, it failed on so many levels trying to be something it's not...

I don't get the hate this game for being similar each year , I don't it is similar.

I will get it for story mode which is like 5 hours gameplay and not touch it again like every time

CoD has been a horrible franchise since the end of Modern Warfare in 2007, all it's been since then is iteration instead of innovation and on multiple occasions a technically inferior product without dedicated servers.

I always liked the Black ops games from Treyarch- campaign, multiplayer, and zombies. Always spent a looooottt of time playing zombies with friends.

Not sure if I'm willing to shell out 60 for this though, will probably wait until I can get it for 30

I used to love COD ... the fact they keep going futuristic has made me sour on the series. (that and the spawn kills :D ). I have still bought everyone, just to play with a bunch of friends, not because of the quality of the game(s)

Nuh-uh. Once I get the trophies on the Ps4 version, I'm done. Then I move onto the Xbox version to get the achievements for that. That way I have an excuse to play through the campaign again.

Good that they finally understanding how important beta's are nowadays. Hopefully this means that this years CoD will be working great with the right adjustments at launch.

i bought advanced warfare at launch at total biscuit and toher reviewer said it was great at launch much better than MCC and what 343 did with multiplayer
