I think Sony needs to release a few more patches for the ps3 to increase compatilibity for ps3 games or hell apps I'm constantly getting netflix or hulu plus freezing up on me.
We'd likely see less ""overheating"" type actions once Sony releases another patch to increase ""compatibility"".
Yes they improved it, however my PS3 fan runs much louder now and I'm pretty sure my PS3 overheats now whenever playing it, which is really bad. My PS3 used to run quiet as hell and never overheated until Black Ops came out and they released those patches. Sometimes I think my PS3 is going to die when playing it it runs so crappy.Messiahbolical-Which version PS3 do you have? I had a 40 gig phat with that problem and it turned into freezing problems down the road.
I can't speak for Hulu, but Netflix is smooth as hell on the PS3. That's pretty much all I've been doing on the thing lately :PI think Sony needs to release a few more patches for the ps3 to increase compatilibity for ps3 games or hell apps I'm constantly getting netflix or hulu plus freezing up on me.

As for Black Ops, I haven't played it much recently but the framerate is still choppy at times. It's smoother on 360. The difference isnt as big as something like Bayonetta though.
I haven't really noticed any change, but I'm not big on noticing slight technical details. I've got a nice 120 slim and Blops is running pretty smooth for me.

I had a 40 gig phat with that problem and it turned into freezing problems down the road. I have the same 40 gb one. It almost seems like Black Ops is ruining my PS3... it's so poorly optimized I can't believe it. And yes, mine freezes all the time too.
no black ops on ps3 was a disaster. the gameplay was so much different than the 360 version. i rented the 360 version and i was like wtf treyarch. never ever ever ever ever ever ever gonna by a treyarch game again.
That's a bit of an exaggeration don't you think. The gameplay is identical on both consoles and Black Ops runs like crap on the 360 too, just not quite as crappy. The only difference between them gameplay wise is that you can see more flames from the Napalm Strikes on the 360 better(on the PS3 version some of the flames are invisible so you'll be like 8 feet away from the visible flames but still get killed by the invisible ones, and on the 360 version you can see the red laser lines from the Claymores alot better, while on the PS3 version the red lines aren't very opaque)... Other than that, they're the exact same game. Although I've noticed that there's a lot more people on the 360 that hide in corners with Ghost and silenced Famas just waiting for helpless people to run by so they can shoot them in the back. On the PS3 version there's definitely a lot more people running around and not just camping for high killstreaks.no black ops on ps3 was a disaster. the gameplay was so much different than the 360 version. i rented the 360 version and i was like wtf treyarch. never ever ever ever ever ever ever gonna by a treyarch game again.

Never supporting Treyarch again is the Right thing to do. All previous COD games ran at the same resolution on both PS3 & 360 except Black ops. the PS3 version is something like 960X something which is very low for a COD game and besides that, it stillran like crap. Also, they found the 360 cross chat feature on the PS3 version which only means that Blops was a direct port from 360 to PS3 without any post coding. all treyarchdid was lowered the resolution to save on performance and then shipped it out
I agree with you completely but to say that the "gameplay was so much different" is still a joke. Sure it's a crappy port with poor optimization, but it's still playable and the gameplay is still the same.Never supporting Treyarch again is the Right thing to do.
