It does poke a whole in your argument...you used Valve as a counter point. Anyways from what I understand is the game will be free same as DOTA/LoL/etc...this is a founders pack that grants you some perks and gives you beta access.

You don't even need to pay for that. I am a long time customer of Blizzard and they sent me invitation during alpha.

Not sure what the problem is here. The game isn't available freely to the public yet, and this package is for people who want early access to the beta process who didn't get in normally. They even said there is a limited number of these available since they don't want to upset the testing environment.

For those who are entitled little fucks, they can wait for the public release and play for free. Oh no, people who actually want to give money to support the developer for them to make the game!

Uh these are purely for aesthetics, they to my knowledge do not give a advantage to the player.. If your going to shit about this, you may not want to look at the majority of online games out there.. Because the radical majority of this has that feature.. Which I have no problem with, it doesn't impact the game.

$40 for a "beta/alpha" game is a little costly, specially when there's games out there in beta/alpha for half that price or for free. Blizzard ALWAYS overprices their shit, they still use the $14.99 a month model for WoW and if you ever want to change your character or faction change (or both) it's $30 and $25 for those services, and a whopping $55 if you want both. Ironically Square Enix uses a $12.99 a month model for FF14 ARR and to use the character change function it's $10....yes $10 fraking dollars (no faction change since technically there's no faction change).

Now your just talking out of your ass.. It doesn't impact the game what so ever.. Furthermore I like this model.. If your going to spend hundreds of hours into the game your most likely going to spend some money on such features because of your enjoyment out of it.. While at the same time giving in you no way an advantage if it is a competitive game..

You could buy in to the DOTA 2 beta as well.
