World of Warcraft hands down. I have yet to hear of anyone fainting while waiting in line for an ungodly amount of time for a game from any of the other two franchises upon release.
Their largest franchise is Warcraft. Its not an opinion its a fact but if the question was asking about what their best franchise would be based on an opinions and we could talk about something. I don't see the purpose of this thread if we are just talking about largest in size the warcraft franchise has way more units sold.
They are all pretty huge... i heard there is an online Kart game (not by blizzard) that is a huge succes, mainly in Korea? Like over 50 million players or so and more than a quarter of Korea have played it.
Anyway i rather have World of Warcraft 2 (mainly improved travel system and presentation) than World of Starcraft/Diablo. I'm really fond of the cuddly and magical world of warcraft and its races. The others would probably become too serious or dark.
I would have said Starcraft had WoW never come out. But since it did, World of Warcraft is the correct answer. Starcraft II and Diablo III will most likely sell very well, but nowhere near WoW numbers. WoW is the PC game to beat right now. It is the Halo of the PC.
I consider wow as a part of warcraft franchise, world of warcraft did make an already popular franchise even more popular, and warcraft fanchise is indeed the most popular blizzard franchise, it's also one of the most popular pc franchise along with sims, half life .....
Ok seriously, Wow is not a franchise its a Warcraft game its still uses the lore and characters only its a MMO. It's still Warcraft it doesn't get its own franchise just because it got big there were Warcraft games before WoW and they were really good especially Warcraft 3 (longest time I have ever spent on a game and no game can even come close to the time i've spent on that game) A group of people who made a custom mod on that game are making their own game based off that mod and it looks pretty good i'll probably get it just cause I loved DOTA so much.
Anyway right now its Warcraft > Starcraft > Diablo and probably when Starcraft comes out it'll pass Warcraft for a while until they make another one or something, but Diablo is in 3rd but it is still a great franchise.
