@lostrib: Yes, because basically previewing the same section since the game was first revealed and playable is the whole game.
2h is just too much for me to spoil, 18m was enough. we all know this is a masterpiece in the making (just like MGS5) so im not worried about the game getting goty and 9+ everywhere.
at this rate they're going to preview the whole game before release
lol this is not cod where 2h of gameplay is over 1/3 of the game
Between the PS4 and the Xbone, I'd have to say this is the first must play exclusive. Everything else up till now has been alright launch window games. This is the first exclusive that's GOTY/GOTG material, 90+ metacritic score. Kevin VanOrd must be readying that 10borne bomb.

it wasn't meant to be serious...
Media blackout... The hell, went from first 15min to 2hrs?
the souls games are usually around 20-30h if you don't speed run them, so 2h is not really that much of a deal.
"Also like its three predecessors, dying before you can retrieve your loot means that it’s lost forever. However, instead of being placed on the ground at the scene of your murder, your Blood is actually transfused into a nearby enemy; you’ll know which one by the striking glow emanating from their eyes. In order to get back what was once yours, you need hunt and slay the glowy-eyed menace"

If this applies to bosses...

Is that really a good thing though?
There's a lot of trial and error when fighting bosses. That pretty much guarantees you will lose all your souls (or w/e they call them in this) and you'll be forced to spend them before attempting a boss.
Or maybe it gives you unlimited amount of tries to retrieve your "souls". Not if you die again its gone forever.

This'll probably motivate players to cash in their souls before boss fights
@kratosyoloswag: I agree.
The next two must have exclusives will be persona 5 and uncharted 4 as it stands imo.
By that I dont want to belittle every other exclusive that is announced like Rime or Deep Down, which Im really looking forward to, but the more guaranteed ones.
Edit: @hrt_rulz01 dark souls is really not that hard. You can build your character as a mage and it will be a brease or summon people/npc to help you with bosses.
You have a lot of freedom in weapon style and how fast you want to play the game too.
Did you complette dark souls?

I'm hoping they might do what Lords of the Fallen did. The more "souls" you keep without spending, the higher your multiplier on "souls" gained. So it's a risk/reward type thing. You have a chance to gain x-multiplier "souls" if you kill the boss but you could also lose it all if you die.
So the preview basically said that this is called the Blood series, as the currency gave that away.
And I like the idea of actually having to find who killed you for your Blood back. The idea was novel in Dark Souls, but in neither 1 or 2 was it particularly challenging to just run back where I died (except maybe the Tomb of the Giants)
We had a lot more challenging games when we were kids, i remember some truly difficult games back in the snes era, i mean try to finish chrono trigger with hardly any knowledge of english, then you will know what difficulty is, people just complain too much these days.
Anyone who doesn't like the Souls games or don't want a game that is going to kick your ass, this is not the game for you.

Well, considering it will probably be a 40-50 hour game, they are only showing a sliver of the entire game.
This or MGS V are gonna be GOTY. Probably MGS though,
mgs v > anything
my crystal ball told me so.
@PinkieWinkie: one little comment gets people so worked up.
It was just poking fun that there had just been a thread about an 18 minute preview and now we've jumped to 2 hours. Hence why I said "at this rate", I never said 2 hours was even close to showing the whole game.
