Bloodborne is Eurogamer's GotY

Their top 10 list was interesting. Witcher 3 was at #5, and Splatoon, Rocket League and MGS5 were all higher ranked.

Bloodborne, though, has been announced as their GotY. I feel like it's a good choice, but I would have placed TW3 at least in the top 3. Otherwise I feel like it's a good list.

If I owned a PS4, it'd be my BloodborneStation, yeah. But tell you what - I rarely revisit games and usually not right after I beat them once. So this game would only last so far...

Its only the English version of Eurogamers GOTY.........other country's Eurogamers each have their own choices, most picked The Witcher 3.

Not surprised it's great game, even better with the dlc. Bought ps4 for it, no regrets.

I just started Bloodborne.

THAT GAME DESERVES IT IMO.

I mean no offense to The Witcher 3 and Metal Gear Solid 5 Phantom Pain, but Bloodborne has that Feeling and Gameplay down.

It took everything that was wrong about Dark Souls and FIXED IT.

It's the real Dark Souls 2.

Easily best game of the year for me

Its a good pick, as stated, it won Gametrailers best game also. It was my guess for GOTY, even though i wanted Splatoon to win.

Halo 5 didn't win shit and is completely forgotten by everyone. How does that make you feel? A niche title like BB crushed Halo 5, the biggest game MS has.

Anything out of the BB/MGSV/TW3 trifecta is expected. More kudos to Splatoon, btw - ranked as #3 on Euro's list.

The real head-scratcher is Everybody's Gone to the Rapture at #9. What was there was enjoyable, but it continually felt like it was stuck in the wrong medium.

I don't get why people have a problem when people (or groups of people) have differing opinions that don't mesh with the "norm".

The whole idea of these critical institutions is that they bring us a variety of opinions about the games we play so we can be better informed as to what we might be getting into.

It's my GOTY. I've put over 60 hours into The Witcher 3 so far and it isn't even close to Bloodborne.

I preferred Dark Souls. Good game and all but didn't have the same hook. Plus I'm stuck on a boss and can't be arsed right now levelling up to do it. It's the three amigos, the last dark souls had a similar boss and it's completely unfair. Maybe it's just a blind spot of mine because I'm not usually bad at games but I can't seem to get past it. Almost had them once but eh, have a feeling I may have to restart the whole game in a different direction.

A lot of people do. They like to see their favourite games get the credit they think they deserve.

More GOTY's accolades for the SONY family.

I have had a ps4 since launch. Its basically my resogun/rocket league/blooborne box! Theres are the real gems of the system for me and I have pretty much all the others as well. Now this could change when I start Until Dawn which I installed about a week ago but have yet to start.....

Just saw on Amazon.com yearly chart for videogames. Super Mario Maker above Halo 5 ( for now ). LOL!

A PS4 exclusive game winning GotY doesn't mean the Xbox had a crappy year. The XB1 got a lot of great games this year, there's no question about that.

And Super Mario Maker selling more than Halo 5 is no surprise. Halo might be a megaton in terms of sales (or at least it used to be until some time ago), but Mario is Mario. Mario sells absurdly well. There aren't many franchises that can sell as well as Mario can.

Well, it's 2016. now. But anyway, you mean "during holidays" in 2015?

It'll win EDGE's as well.
