"Nielsen VideoScan data for the week shows 72.6% of high-definition discs purchased by consumers were Blu-ray and just 27.4% were HD DVD. HD DVD players have been selling for as little as $98, one-fourth the lowest street price for a Blu-ray player."

It seem like Blu-Ray is really going to win..Sony Just announced that 1 million Blu-Ray movies were sold across Europe!! Lets face the fact HDDVD is dead. It was a smart move for Sony to put Blu-Ray in the PS3..They are going to make a lot of money back and that will lead to cheaper PS3s to be manufacture...Also its doing great across the globe, but somewhat struggling in NA(suprise, surprise) . This Christmas Sony need to push as many numbers as the 360 to compete against them. I feel next year will be the biggest for them, and they going to gain a lot of ground back, and dominate everything from games to movies..
They have a lot of exclusive games dropping like big titles such as MGS4, White Knight Story, Killzone 2, LIttleBigPlanet, War Devil, Infamous,Heavy Rain, Socom, Eight Days, Team ICO Game(they been working on it for awhile now)and etc. The PS3 isn't going anywhere!!
