BD2 maybe on 360 but it's inevitable that BD will be on DS wether it's a spin off or a seqeul.

I see BD flopping in the US just like it did in Japan. The average 360 owner doesnt have enough interest in a old school style turn based rpg.

Nah, i think id BD does half a million that will be very good, i can easily see it doing half a million because it's one of VERY few JRPG's and RPG's will do well on 360 no MATTER what they are. People like variety and if this game get's good reviews then they will buy it. It's like Tales of Symphonia for GC selling really well when there's hardly any RPG's on GC.

That would be because it is similar to DQ, and Japanese people love DQ games

How I took this meant that they think it may possible to develop a DS version of Blue Dragon 2. The comment talks about the company's plan for Blue Dragon 2. That plans for Blue Dragon 2 depend on how Blue Dragon 1 does in the US. The last part of the comment about the DS refers back to main topic of the comment which is Blue Dragon 2. It was all one subject (BD2). If they had been talking about a DS version of Blue Dragon 1 that thought would have been put in it's own sentence to avoid confusion or it's own paragraph. They would have made sure that they were talking about something else but the way it's written it seems they are talking about BD2 the entire time.

Not that they are making a spin off or maybe thinking of putting Blue Dragon 1 on the DS but Blue Dragon 2 itself as a possibility. They are saying that it may be possible to develop a NDS version of that game (BD2).

It's similar to what Square-Enix did with Dragon Quest 9. If it's possible for them to do it, and from comments it sounds like it is, they'll take the game where they can sell the most copies. In return will give them the most profit.

There already has been a spin off, Blue Dragon Plus for the DS. Pointless making another.

Old thread is old.

Seriously though if they ever do make a Blue Dragon 2 I hope its on a console and not a handheld.
