Blue Dragon will be good. - its made by some inccredible developers - its getting a 6 month translation with bug fixes and updates (JP version gets these updates off live) - it overall seems good- gameplay, story etc. -it has gotten good reviews so far
this isnt my first JRPG either- iowned a ps1 and ps2, that should tell you something. Especially the ps1 (im not the kind of guy who hyped Enchanted Arms. - myhyped JRPGs for the 360 are BD and Lost ODyessy, not Enternal Sonata orm other, what appear to be, run of the mill JRPGs)
i think that it will get AAA. If this game was on the PS3 it would be hyped to death right now, but then again, by hardcore lemmings it would be said to be just another JRPG- big fanboys are hypocrites.
And btw, the only JRPG that i hyped which , which i do hype everything that i think looks good which tends to be a lot, is Final Fantasy X-2 and FFXll (in my book it flopped. If you play good JRPGs and WRPGs this feels like a bad blend)

The only minus in reviews was that is was too easy .... guess what ... they fixed that in Japaneze version with a patch for choosing two more difficulties .. !!!!
Considering that i am not a huge Akira Toriyama fan(every game he worked on looked the same -_-) and that gameplay resembles that of old FF games i would hype it somewhere between 8.0-8.7

Now is guaranteed AAA
and it added the ability to restart your game with your current stats i hope Mistwalker continues to follow through on this game- maybe some sidequests thatll give su more backround info. on the chracters or even total random ones? who knows

I tend not to expect too much from J-RPG's But the people behind this one is like the dream team of game designers. So maybe this one will not have all the same done to death elements that that I cry about most of the time these things come out.

June 5- it got released in december. theyre gonna fix stuff and translate it. (most likely including the japanese downlaods which add more difficulty options)
I look forward to Eternal Sonata and Infinite Undiscovery more than Blue Dragon. Not saying Blue Dragon won't be great, but it's more "run of the mill" imho despite it's pedigree.
How so, in japan it got raving scores, and the difficulty adjust patch is 100% to make this AAA at least
Even though I don't agree with Xeno, his prediction is valid. Flop=/=Bad Game It just means it doesn't meet the expected score. There is no expected score for Blue Dragon because we haven't created the Official Hype thread for it yet. So we can't say it will flop because we don't know what it's being hyped as.
