Who wants to download a 20gig game anyways? Plus, the devs have said that the game has been compressed very much to about 700mb, but when you actually start the game, it uncompresses to about 2 gigs

Disc space does not automatically equate to game length. 40% plus of the disc space was used for audio, and not on making the game longer, and I think a lot will have been used on the stunning graphics. Whereas you can bet that MGS4 is going to be one BEHEMOTH of a game, and that will only be 25 GB (it is at the moment).

To summarise: Length does not = disc space

I know that you're the Trash Man, but that doesn't mean you have to post trash on GS.

This "blu-ray is needed" argument would be a lot more convincing if the blu-ray drive in the PS3 wasn't such a slow one...If Sony had popped in a faster BD drive, then the PS3 would beat the 360 on storage capacity AND disc read speed, whereas at the moment it only wins in the first.
