I'm planning on picking up some of the Borderlands DLC. However, I have a friend who will not have any of it. Will we still be able to play together if we're doing things other than the DLC that he doesn't have, or will he have to host? I ask because I've come across a few games that didn't allow someone to jump into your game unless you had all of the same content.

you wont be able to go to any of the DLC areas no I think it just boots him back to the menus if you try to access those areas of the game

You can't go to DLC areas (the persons without em), I got em they were a waste of money. As cool as borderlands was for hte first while I can see that Gearbox sure is lazy in some areas.
