Good news if you like repetitive, shallow as a puddle, unfunny video games then you're in for a real fucking treat.

Gearbox, headed by "Oh No! Where my USB!" man, has announced, if you actually like this shit, they unsurprisingly have more slop in the trough for the masses of plebs to gobble down.

Also a movie with old people, that looks shit.

At least Opposing Force was good.

"People that love Borderlands are going to be very excited" about Gearbox's next game

"I can't wait to talk about the stuff that we're working on with our fans," says Pitchford.

Gearbox founder Randy Pitchford says news about the next game in the Borderlands series will come "sooner rather than later".

Gearbox – which is now a subsidiary of Take-Two after being sold by Embracer last year – hasn't yet confirmed another Borderlands game is on the way, but Pitchford says he hasn't "done a good enough job of hiding the fact that we're working on something [...] and [he] thinks people that love Borderlands are going to be very excited".

"Oh man, I don't think I've done a good enough job of hiding the fact that we're working on something," Pitchford toldTheGamer. "And I think people that love Borderlands are going to be very excited about what we're working on.

"These are fuzzy words, but sooner rather than later, we're going to be talking about what we've been working on, and I can't wait.

"I think I'm genetically made to try and create joy and happiness, and build entertainment. I love movies and I love video games, I love entertainment," he added.

"So I'm grateful that we have so many great things coming with Borderlands, and I can't wait to talk about the stuff that we're working on with our fans."

The Borderlands movie - which Gearbox founder Randy Pitchford has, perhaps prematurely, called the start of a "Borderlands Cinematic Universe" - sees Cate Blanchett's infamous outlaw Lillith returning to the planet Pandora in search of a missing girl. Along the way she teams up with former mercenary Roland (Kevin Hart), pre-teen demolitionist Tiny Tina (Ariana Greenblatt), her protector Krieg (Florian Munteanu), Padorian archaeologist Tannis (Jamie Lee Curtis), and robot Claptrap (Jack Black), uncovering an "unimaginable power".

15 years too late.

I played some of BL3 recently since it was a PS Plus freebie, and it's brutal.

Just let it go, Randy Pissturd.

Funny thing is, I gave Warframe a go in searching for a game to tide me over while I waited for Borderlands 3.

Then I heard that the first two games' writer, Anthony Burch, wasn't returning. And then I met - and heard - the main villains of Borderlands 3. That was when I lost interest in the franchise completely.

Anyway, just finished another session with Horizon Forbidden West, a game starring a character voiced by Anthony Burch's sister. I'm gonna take a quick break before jumping into Warframe for my weekly Netracells.

Got off the train at borderlands 2. Did not enjoy. First game was fine for what it was, but didn't need more.

Used to be a big fan of the first two, but when you don't evolve the formula, and think that it staying the way that it was in 2012 is OK, you should exit the game development, its not for you.

This guy would disagree... only time he praised Randy were DN3D maps for the expansion.

@nintendoboy16: The new DN3D maps are arguably the worst ever made for Duke3D. London certainly is.

Not even map design, very much like Borderlands where it's just open spaces with enemies standing around like cows.

Not really sure why I should care about your e-celebs opinion, seems kinda bad.

Only played Borderlands 1 & 2, those games were fun but never desired to play the 3rd game. But I really did like Tiny Tina's Wonderland. At this point, the Borderlands games hype is pretty much dead and I failed to see why there's even a movie on it. The last 2 trailers didn't wow me and everything looks stupid as well. I'll still watch it just for reviewing.

Loved and played a ton of the first one. Played the second but not nearly as much as the first but it was enjoyable.

Pretty much had enough of the series after that. :P

Its a coop experience, and you/tc need to have friends to do that.

Yeah, I just don't understand how these games keep making money. I guess they're just advertised a lot and that dopamine-loot psychological effect is strong enough to keep people playing.

"Insert time, get reward, get dopamine spike, repeat"

All that does is make me sleepy. It can be fun if the game is fun, but sadly Borderlands is just an ugly and annoying game with dumb humor.

Times like this, where I just don't "get it", I have to remind myself that I (and most of us here) don't represent the average gamer. We are, for lack of a better term, enthusiast gamers or connoisseurs of video games 😋

I think they're just trying to capitalize on the film's release. Anyhow, I try not to put money in Randy Bitchford's pocket.

damn, so many haters in here. I liked Borderlands 3 despite the annoying villains. it still had great areas and missions and the gameplay I thought was pretty fun. Play through it with friends and just don't pay attention to the shit dialogue and you'll have a good time.

still the best looter-shooter series IMO, only real competition is The Division games but the loot in them kinda stinks. The fully randomized guns are still done best in the Borderlands series, instead of just the handful of preset guns with randomized stats you get elsewhere.

I did feel like there were diminishing returns with Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, though the writing in it was not quite as bad as BL3. A lot of the optional side dungeons were especially repetitive and dull and the weird fantasy guns were kinda dumb, even by BL standards.

It reminds me of that World Of Warcraft movie, where the appeal of that product (and this) is partly the strong visual aesthetics, namely a cartoon.

But let's ignore that, really, the only good element of the game, and have 60 year old woman cosplay for a made for TV theatre release.

Nice work Randy, really understand yer fucking product eh mate?

Garbage Box should ask Capcom how to make a matchmaking based coop experience a la Monster Hunter.
