Yes, i buy both versions of a lot of my MP shooter games due to the fact i have friends on both my friends list that i play with and also because i can afford it. i bought the PS3/360 versions of Bad Company 2 today.. Played 2 squad rush matches for each console, in both matches on the PS3 nearly everyone had mics, with the 360 it was almsot all silent with the exception of maybe one or two players on the team having mics.

ive been saying it for months now, more people on PSN use mics during MP games than 360.. Go see for yourself, go play Halo 3, Forza 3, COD4, or Gears 2 on 360 and you will find that almsot all matches are nearly ghost towns because everyone is in party chat.. On my PS3 i play MW2, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, MAG and Bioshock 2 and i almost always hear people with mics, most of the times atleast half the players in the match have mics on.. MAG especially nearly every match i play in mag more than half my squad mates have mics.

I really hope Sony doesnt make the same mistake with PSN and have party chat, i hate when i play online and it feels silent and like a ghost town. That was one thing that made xbox live so much better back a few years ago was users with mics, now aside from MW2 noone uses mics on 360 anymore.

What version of Halo 3 do you play? I play Halo 3 semi-exclusively and I can tell you that it is most definitely not silent. It's quite the opposite, in fact.

well more people on XBL use mics ..... it comes bundled with the 360 but it doesn't seem apparent now because of the party system which does suck in the sense that it eliminates conversations with random people in matchs. Like I said before why talk to random people if you can talk to your friends. It sucks for people who want to talk/meet random people while playing but most of the time its just people talking trash. I don't know much about XBL but you always get at least 1 guy that always talks trash in a match on PSN.

Sounds like you described Big Team Social; that's one playlist. I am telling you from experience, go play Social Slayer, and you'll have all the talk you can handle.

LMAO so people dont wanna hear the trash talkers! so PSN doesnt have party chat like XBL does, that means you have to sit through a gaggle of a million different voices from people you probably dont wanna hear. XBL gives you the option, PSN doesnt...

I don't see BC2 on your 360 gamertag

Tis true, the man is a lie. you probably dont even own the game. just played it at two different friends houses...

If he has bought it, and played it, then it would be on his GT. Quite sad, kenny. So much for $120 taking a leak; you didn't even buy the game.

Maybe I'm thinking of someone else, but didn't you saw a week ago that you hated the demo? And you bought two copies of the game?

Kennysolidsnake

Let me get this straight - PSN now has two games that has mics and now it's better than XBOXLIVE.

Prior to mics on PSN, the PS3 fanboys were always saying they don't need mics...who wants to listen to a bunch of 12 year olds on XBOXLIVE when they can play their games in silence with no interruptions and smack talking.

So from your comments, unless I am reading this wrong - You are now saying PSN is now so much better when it comes to friends online with mics than Xboxlive... :?OK - good luck with that...

my gamertag is RagingBull2584 and PSN ID is Killzownz84

Nice lies son. You haven't even played/bought BFBC2 on your account. So much for getting a $120 for taking a leak at work eh?

[QUOTE="Kennysolidsnake"][QUOTE="Nonstop-Madness"]

thats the answer, why talk to random people if you can just party up and talk to your friends.

Nonstop-Madness

I just hate when playing online and it feels like a ghost town. I mean even Halo 3 is almost always silent, thats what use to make Xbox live better than PSN is "everyone uses mics" argument.. not anymore

well more people on XBL use mics ..... it comes bundled with the 360 but it doesn't seem apparent now because of the party system which does suck in the sense that it eliminates conversations with random people in matchs. Like I said before why talk to random people if you can talk to your friends. It sucks for people who want to talk/meet random people while playing but most of the time its just people talking trash. I don't know much about XBL but you always get at least 1 guy that always talks trash in a match on PSN.

isnt the whole point of using a mic to talk strategy and help the team to win the match? I doubt people are trying to meet and just have conversations with random people while they play...

buying 2 console games that are the same is a waste imo. I have the DX11 pc version, and that's pretty much THE version to get, you guys have no clue what you are missing out on.

If this is true, I suspect that XBL players are mostly in party/ private chats. As much hate MW2 gets, a ton of people got owned when IW disabled chat for team based gametypes lol.

---

I don't have the game yet...But from my experience I heard about the same amount player chatter on the PSN beta and XBL demo (watching my lil bro).

Well as a PS3/Wii gamer I'd have to say I don't care. I mute everyone anyway unless it's a friend, in which case I mute everyone BUT them. I don't mind not talking to people.

Well, Kenny, you've made an amazing discovery based on years of data, analyzing, and thought... Oh wait. The game just came out, you apparently spent $120 on getting two versions of the same game, yet you can still definitvely determine that more people on PS3 use mics on Bad Company 2 than they do on 360? That's a lot to buy, man...
