Thread offically ruined. I knew it wouldn't take long for some fanboy to post a R2 vs. Gears 2 comment, but geez, first post after tc.

On a better note. This game will rock. The reeason i even own a 360 is because i played gears back in the day on a friends console then had to buy one (Bioshock was on it then two). I'm so excited i pissed a little.

Can't wait to be playing this in 38 days, once again 360 delivers GOTY just at the right time. And lolz at the PC guys, all your "specs" don't mean anything, this game is more fun than anything you've got.

Gears 2 doesnt have a chance against Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, or even Fable 2. Im guessing an 8.5 from GS. More of the same

it looks much better than Gears 1 and anybody without cow goggles on can see that....and IMO it looks way better than R2

The hour we spent playing co-op at a recent press event was practically transcendental: it takes puerile fun so effortlessly to the next level the action games of the past 12 months evaporated in seconds. Sorry for the gush, but we really were knocked out.

Why? After our chat with Cliff Bleszinski, a journalist was talking on the phone to his mate.

"It's the first one with tons of new stuff, the graphics through the roof and all the **** stripped out," he said. "It's more than that, though. You won't believe it."

Nice, but GTA4, MGS4, and other great games will definitely give Gears 2 a run for it's money. This isn't 2006 where Epic were some of the only devs ahead of the curb.

It looks better to you because Gears won't play in your PS3. That's not really a fair comparison. Gears on a 360 > Any shooter on PS3 (including R2 Fall of Sony)

It looks better to you because Gears won't play in your PS3. That's not really a fair comparison. Gears on a 360 > Any shooter on PS3 (including R2 Fall of Sony)

Graphically Gears is better than R2. R2 has a more realistic look, but overall Gears 2 is more impressive graphically. Now KZ2 on the other hand... is teh bestest overall IMO.

Yeah, and with shooters like Far Cry 2, Resistance 2, and Crysis Warhead it'll be stiff competition in that genre. If Gears 2 can't take away that accolade, then goodbye GOTY :(. TOO many great games are coming out!
