Brawl and Super mario galaxy confirmed for this year

I know there has been a lot of confusion concerning these two titles. News came out that Mr. Iwata mentioned that Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl were confirmed to release this year. This info was put together from various sources. Later on IGN posted an article that mentioned the two titles, but the wording confused many people. Thanks to reader Uzu, I listened in to the latest IGN Podcast due to the mention of these titles once more. Within the podcast we hear that Iwata indeed confirmed that these two titles would be released between (the end of) Summer and Fall. The only question is, does this mean that Japan, North America, and Europe will see them released this year, or just Japan? It would be great to get some firm release dates on these titles. It's not like we haven't been waiting patiently!

That guy's excited for home? 

well im not really thinking about buying this games but it is a great step for nintendo this will make the sales go up without an end with both games. I hope it will go to sale for everyone on the world not like first one place then another its better a worldwide day for this to get out onto sale

I wouldn't get excited about a "this guy said this guy said this" confirmation. It's best to wait for a formal confirmation of release date. E3 sounds like the likely place. RurouniSaiyajin

All it confirmed was for a release date this year. Not a specific, official release date.

And yes, i do agree the smaller more condensed E3 will be able to tell us more :)

Speak for yourself, the only games on that list I care about are MGS4 and to a lesser extent FFXIII.

The reality is that aside from the existing Nintendo fans, most Wii users won't even care.

You could be right about that........I am beginning to sense that people buying a Wii are looking for that quick "Bar-Type Aracde" game when they look at what they want from the Wii....but the Nintendo franchises will sell regardless.  It's the 3rd party ones I would have concern for

If you care about Home more than Mario Galaxy and SSBB then you're in a world of fanboy dillusion.

Well I bought the Wii because I had heard that SSBB brawl was a launch title , so I was gonna get it , but then when I went to zellers I was dissapointed and ended up buying zelda instead,

So all I can say is that I cant wait , and had better not be dissapointed again :?

Hell I would take that for MGS4 or FFXIII......they rarely throw anyone a bone regarding firm release dates on those two

Exactly.  When other companies say "confirmed" I believe it.  When Nintendo says "confirmed" I take it with a grain of salt.  SMG I still think is releasing this year.  SSBB, I won't believe it till I see it.

If that's true, it looks like Nintendo will be able to compete with Lair, MGS4, GTAIV, and FFXIII this holiday season. Of course, this is assuming that this year means here in America as well. glitchgeeman
